It was a called play, you could see Parker giving him a high five afterwards for doing his job.You guys have to stop this…people on TV could not see if the run scored or not. It was good it did but I am not trading the last out of an inning midway through a game for a run either. I am glad it worked out but I don’t think the plan was to run into an out there.
It was absolutely a called play with 2 outs and 2 strikes. Great execution by Taylor there. You guys have to stop this…people on TV could not see if the run scored or not. It was good it did but I am not trading the last out of an inning midway through a game for a run either. I am glad it worked out but I don’t think the plan was to run into an out there.
I think all our confusion stems from the announcer not knowing the rules. He said, "and the run would have counted if Taylor made it back to first." I was thinking, wait....what? And...did they not show us that our guy from third went too?? Oh well.Correction.
Apparently the counted the steal at home prior to the Taylor getting tagged out in the pickle.
Chapman scored from 3B via stealing home.
VOLS lead 3-0.
Yep, my reference to the “blunder” is I thought the runner didn’t go home while Charlie was in the rundown.I think all our confusion stems from the announcer not knowing the rules. He said, "and the run would have counted if Taylor made it back to first." I was thinking, wait....what? And...did they not show us that our guy from third went too?? Oh well.
Came back from the commercial and we had another run on the screen. I looked at my dad and said, "he doesn't know the rules. Only reason he would have said that is he thought he had to be safe at first for it to count. Nope. Not on a tag out."
