Pearl's an average coach. I think you could call him a good recruiter if you focus on the persuasion part of it and ignore the talent evaluation part. He took Tennessee about as far as anyone can probably take anybody when your biggest strength is an outsized personality.

No idea what to expect from Martin, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as long as possible. Looking forward to an overdue emphasis on fundamentals and solid defense.
