We got dicked out of our 3rd Safety of the season. The greatest play in football....the backbreaker...the only time a team gets points (2) AND posession....the SAFETY. That RBs HELMET didnt even cross the goal line...much less the ball. Would have been a dickmove to call a TO and challenge it for the safety....but damn. We did it. For the 3rd time. Most seasons we have zero safeties. Most seasons UGA, Bama etc have zero safeties. They are hard to get...requires great special teams, great front 7 and defense, and beast mode on demand from the defensive line especially. I have been a diehard VOL for 47 years....I dont remember EVER having 3 safeties in a season. Cant remember 2 either...but some of those great 90s defenses with Wilson, Thompson, Henderson and Haynesworth etc etc may have gotten 2 in a season. We had our 3rd today...and the refs dicked us on the spot. There have been several other very close calls too this season AND onvious holding by Bama in the endzone that SHOULD have been a safety. Have yall seen this:

If a Vol intercepts a Floriduh pass in the endzone and returns it the other way for 6, then Floriduh is backed up against the UT student section on their ensuing possession and is tackled in their end zone for a safety, I suspect UT students might jeer them with a few Gayduh chomps…

What if the Gayduhs are backed up against the UT student section and the Tennessee rush knocks a Floriduh lineman into his QB who stumbles and falls down for a safety?

Let’s assume the Vols have a multi-score lead .

He held him the entire 3 seconds or more...including finishing by standing BEHIND Pearce and pulling backwards on him with BOTH ARMS in the damn endzone. Blatant. By the way...theres a referee ON the goal line watching from the same angle as this camera. Staring DIRECTLY at the hold. In NEYLAND. HERE . AT HOME. That BS no call cost us 2 points PLUS posession...AND cost Pearce credit for another sack. The ref was literally staring directly at them. Complete BS.

When will the time come that to beat UGA and Bama with SEC officials, we DON'T have to beat their players PLUS 2 or 3 refs??? When does that happen? When we win a Championship at the earliest. Might take 2 or 3 before WE get protected by the SEC office and SEC refs like they do.

Makes me sick

By rule, thats a safety. If the QBs knee, elbow etc touch the ground in the endzone its a safety...regardless of who knocks him down. The Dlineman would likely NOT get credit for the sack though
