I'm a purist because there's already a runner's lane that does the same thing. And has done so for 100 plus years.
But the lane takes you behind the bag. Having the base where it is then limiting the runners ability to hit it square, by making them run outside of the bag is the problem.
 
Ive noticed we have to many guys that arent aggressive with the first pitch anymore. Curly is real bad to watch a fat pitch. Would like to see some aggression from more of these guys.
