I believe it is named after " hurricane creek " which is supposed to be nearby the school. I like it at least its different for the area. My kids will be going to that school. It will be 3 years old when my first goes into it. Supposed to be state of the art. Its also 1 mile from the house which makes sporting events easy lol.

Oh, heck yeah! LOL Penny loafers and button downs! LOL Went to the movies with friends and no parents for the very first time at that theater in Brainerd Village. I think it was Blue Thunder.

Easy now, we're showing our age. First movies for me was eastgate (now the propane cowboy):

Anybody remember when the put the car AND THE PHONE POLE on top of Mostellar's Garage on Main Street? I wasn't old enough to drive, but my friend's mom drove us down there to see it....a lesson on going to fast. And of course we heard some of the bodies were still in the car.

Age is just a number according to Monte. :) I may be in my 40's, but I can run circles around some 30 year olds I know.

Yeah I remember that. The bodies have to still be in it for the most part. Car looked like it was put through a meat grinder. For those who have not seen it the car flipped and hit a telephone pole roof side first and hit with such force that the front and rear bumpers are touching. Never forget the first time I saw that.

Tommy Simpson was the passenger in that car, our families were friends. Took the bodies out in a plastic bag. His mother had to identify him buy his necklace outline that was sun burned on his chest that week very sad situation. 1968 camaro green. My mom and his mom coached together for my older sisters, his younger sister

Wow! What a small world!! Do you know I don't drive into a curve today without thinking about that accident. Not the specifics of it, but just the risk of going too fast. No telling how many people it affected like that.

I'm sorry if it brought up bad memories for you. I didn't expect someone here to know the situation personally.

I feel 30 my body just doesn't believe. My wife does any physical activity that needs to be done. I'm just to lazy!!

Nah, nothing like that i thought he was real cool. He was 17 I was 12 or something. He played ball out at east brainerd. Couldnt wait to play on the big field like those older guys
