White House, Tennessee is where I hail from. Live a little further south in Tennessee now.
I was shocked the last time I was in Nashville. It's not Tennessee anymore, it's the upper midwest with a little northeast and half of north Africa and Central America. Immigration is good in moderation, not so much when an area gets overwhelmed.

The real test is when you go into most restaurants an order a "tea", what do they bring you?

If it ain't sweat tea it ain't the south.

And even if they have to clarify that's pushing it.

Nashville has changed quite a bit. Further out we miss all that diversity jazz.

Wonder of we'll get many who are switching their vote to Biden from a 2016 Trump vote.

EL, I have spoken with some Dems who are like the old school Blue Dog Dems from the 80s and early 90s (not necessarily reflective of age), and they are either voting Trump or not voting. Multiple reasons why... Worried about Biden's mental state, don't like Kamala's political stances, content with the current market/economy (although I don't think many people distinguish between the two, which is sad), etc. These people are scattered all over the country and zero excitement for Biden/Harris exists. Maybe it changes, but as of now, I'd bet on Trump to win.

Oh, and full disclosure... I didn't vote in 2016 and I will probably vote Trump (that's what I selected) this time. It'll be a lesser of two evils deal for me. But then, I may just stay at the house. My hypocrisy has boundaries.

Will be voting 3rd party again. But I'd vote for a main party if they had a candidate worth a crap.

But the prospect of either Biden or Trump as president makes me fearful for the next 4 years.

Serious question has the first term of Trump been that bad? Forget 2020 and the Chinavirus there was nothing he or anyone else in his position could to make things go any differently. In fact he enacted a travel ban from China in January while the dimocrats were still trying to impeach him. While Biden, Pelosi & Deblasio were calling the ban racist & xenophobic and telling people to come visit China town in SF & NYC.

From mid-2017 until around February this country has seen a record stock market, record economy and record low unemployment across the board.

He cut regulations on businesses & industry to keep or bring them back to the US.

He got a new and improved trade deal with Mexico & Canada. A new trade deal with China.

Trump has gotten us pretty much out of Iraq & Afghanistan and has tried his best to keep us out of war with NK.

His administration has reenergized NASA & the US Space industry with an increased budget while pushing NASA to use private companies to get Americans back into space. Launched from American soil aboard American made rockets. While also pushing for America to return to the moon by 2025 and Mars by 2030.

That's just a fraction of what he's accomplished all while being the first President to donate his paycheck to underfunded dependents or charities.

There's been some benefit to the economy. It's not all bad.

But I don't believe anything he says. I don't trust him on foreign policy. There's a myriad of reasons that have been hashed out on this forum. Some I agree with. Some I don't. And like other presidents he has no hesitation for deficit spending and growing the debt. Even before Covid.

I'm not sure where I was, but the battery went dead on my truck near the airport and I had to get a wrecker to jump me off because no one would help me out. I googled auto parts stores and drove to the closest Autozone several miles away to get a replacement since mine was under warranty. The area around it was pretty sketchy and I think I was one of the only ones that spoke english.

Looks like Biden is in a tight race with ā€œnone of the aboveā€ while Trump appears to be comfortably ahead. šŸ˜‚

And I wonder how many who chose Trump have been approached by a national pollster? šŸ¤”
