The Official Washington vs. Seattle Game Thread, 4:30pm ET (1/6/2013), Fox

Actually, the McNair/RG3 comparisons are right on. Even at 29 and with injuries out the wazoo, McNair still ran it 82 times, his last full season as a starting QB.

As someone who spent an inordinate amount of time watching and following Baylor football, RG3 was a risk and everyone knew it. He had multiple, multiple injuries in college and never played a full season in college. That's why Luck was the safer pick. Hell, I'd rather have Wilson too.

RG3 is an incredible talent for sure. Unfortunately, his playing style will end his career early. Of the 3 rookie QB's, Luck will have the most productive career. He has the potential to be a field general like Manning, Brady, Marino, Elway.

If anyone is pissed about RGIII's performance in this game, than that is truly disgusting. I could get if he was healthy and playing bad, but for people to sheet on him now makes me glad that Washington hasn't won their division since 1999.

I'm not angry. He should have been taken out earlier in the game.

In the NFL you have to throw and have the ability to read defenses, running qb's don't last. The media gets everyone all hyped up any time a runner comes in the league but it always ends up the same way.

This is an incorrect statement. RG3 is a fantastic passing QB. He's the best "mobile" QB passer we've seen, and as someone who has watched him since he was 18, he's a pass first QB. He can read a D as well as any rookie has in a while. He had the lowest INT ratio this year, first time in NFL history a rookie has done that.

The problem he has that Luck and Wilson don't have is:

1) He doesn't know to take a hit.

2) He tries to always go for the big play passing or running, leaving him with a bigger chance to get hurt.

3) He's already predisposed to injuries and doesn't seem to understand that.

Trent Dilfer said one of the first things he looks for when evaluating a young QB is how he takes hits. You know why the Mannings never, ever miss a game? They can take a hit in the pocket. RG3 can't do that.

I'm more upset with Shanahan than RG3. Cousins is a very capable backup. He should've been in the game waaaay before the fumble. Players can't be trusted to make the right call when it comes to their ability to contribute when they're hurt. It's Shanahan's job to put the team in the best position to win and he failed big time. That and....I knew that the REAL Washington defense would show up eventually.

I could not disagree more, watching his TD passes most are on WR screens and play action off the read option to where he usually has 1 receiver down field. If you watch him he never goes through any progressions.

This is completely wrong, but okay.

Amazing the difference in football and baseball. Nats shut down their best pitcher with a month to go and keep him out of the playoffs to "preserve him for 10 years". Redskins keep shoving out a one legged wonder just to win right now, even if it were to end his career (hypothetically, of course).

Regarding Griffin's throwing ability. I am no expert but it sure looked all year like he throws flat footed without stepping into the pass. Lots of passes sailed high all year and I am now waiting for a recurring shoulder injury to start to materialized over the next few years.

But he sure was fun to watch for most of the year.

He had a good amount of wide receivers run open, but we are awfully hard on a rookie QB who threw 5 INT's in 15 games and had a 65.6% completion percentage.

That cheap shot totally changed the complexion of the game. RGIII wasn't the same after that.

The one after the TD pass? Please, I've seen 20X worse.

It was two plays before that where he went to plant on his knee to throw while rolling out that his knee gave out.
