The question comes up a lot in other threads, I figured this will make it easier.

So who do you support for next year's presidential election?

You don't have to say why, but if you want to feel free. If you are undecided tell us who has and has not impressed you.

I think it is pretty obvious as to who I support. As for why I support Mr. Obama, he seems to be a straight-shooter, and definitely not a weasel like some of the other candidates (Hillary, Edwards, etc.) I don't totally agree with all his views, but the fact that I find him to be intelligent and trustworthy goes a long way.

Crap!

I like parts of Romney, Huckabee and McCain.

The problem is finding a center point between the three.

*On a side note, I did make a promise to have Obama as an avatar here in the near future.

I am a flaming conservative!

I lean towards McCain followed by Guilliani. Romney annoys me but would vote for him over any of the Dem front runners. Huckabee is likable but a bit out there for me. Thompson is a disaster and Paul is a nutjob. (Now he's dissing Lincoln!)

I like Obama as a person but disagree with his political stances. I can find no redeeming qualties in either Edwards or Clinton.

As a footnote reading your final line, I recently heard the most accurate psychic in America has predicted a Clinton/Edwards ticket wining the White House.

"accurate psychic" is as contradictory as "military intelligence"

I don't know why, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the psychic will vote for Ron Paul.

Myself. Honestly, I don't know who I am voting for....really don't

Would love to vote for Ron Paul but I can't unless he changes his stance on taxes which I find borderline comical

Then again, I am NOT voting for Huck, Mitt, Hillary, and some others no matter what

We will see where that leaves me in a few months

All the polls show Clinton beating Guiliani or Huckabee. Edwards was a VP last election.

I would like to see an Obama/Bredesen ticket. There has been talk of Obama/Hagel. Or how about Obama/Oprah? (I jest, at least on the last one)

I am a conservative, first and foremost. Liberals scare the crap out of me. That being said, I have no idea who I'm voting for. There's not one clear cut conservative among them. The closest is probably Thompson, but his campaign is in shambles. My number one issue right now is illegal immigration. And I don't see any of the others being on the right side of the issue. I mean, who's going to stop it? McCain? Huckabee? Rudy?. Um, no.

I will vote for whoever wins the Rep. primary, plain and simple, but the Dems are drooling for Huckabee, and I don't trust that guy at all. And Ron Paul is as much of a conservative as the Clintons are trustworthy.

Can anyone please tell me what the Dems are going to do about illegal immigration? That is my #1 issue right now. I'm still in the middle of who to vote for. I like Ron Paul, Huck and McCain on the right, but i want to hear what the left is going to do about this issue.

I think a lot of who wins will be determined by current events. The Bhutto assassination and the fallout from it could create a situation where national security issues push guys like McCain and Giuliani way ahead.

I suspect the Democratic plan is very similar to the GOP plan which is to talk about it a lot and then not do anything about it.

Well, i think that's what both sides are going to do. I mean really, what can they do about it? :dunno:

Your not suppose to say who your voting for, but I will say I support Huckabee.
But if McCain could win and have Huckabee as VP that would be great

Why aren't you supposed to say who you are voting for once you decide? I still have no idea - so I won't say....but what is wrong with saying it once you know?

Alright, here is the real deal, I have no clue who would be best to lead the free world for the next four years. When Fred came out I thought he would be the man to do the job, but then he just kept sounding like a Bush puppet. Then Huck, but as a christian I do not want a leader who preaches on Sunday and lies to get elected on Monday, What about Ron Paul? His ideas sound good, that is until he speaks about them in public forums, then he sounds crazy, Mitt has flip flopped a little, but he is well spoken, Hillary just seems to cater to whoever she is speaking to at the time, Then there is Obama, everyone knows he studied the islamic faith for a while, and his middle name his Hussien right? he just sounds like a terrorist and I would find him more electable if his name was Jerome Washington or something. Oh yeah can't leave out Edwards the sleezy lawyer of the bunch there is one in every election. The '08 ballot sucks, I need to study more and see who turns it up I guess, but for the time being Nater is starting to sound better, just kidding.

Are you joking? If you aren't that is possibly the most ignorant thing I have ever read.
