We need Georgia to drop one though, big time. Losing to Florida seriously put our season behind the curve.

Georgia loses one and we're all square again.
Too bad they have the easiest schedule , all of their tough games are at home with the exception of us . Feel like they could stub their toe this year , but they get neutral against Florida every year and have to play Bama once every 40 years .

We are playing better in Knoxville so keep that in mind. I notice all of the losses and clunkers seem to be on the road. Kentucky and Missouri are tricky. I think they beat A&M. Not sure about Alabama. 8-4 seems likely with losses to Alabama, Georgia, and either Kentucky or Missouri.

Tennessee has a shot in every game but they could lose any of these games as well.
I agree , we worry me on the road . Seem like a diff team . I think having tempo is crucial to jump on teams early

It’s pretty simple. Stop Bowers and you stop Georgia. Auburn showed that yesterday. For the life of me I can’t understand why they didn’t double cover him when it became obvious he was going to be their entire game plan late in the game.

Georgia doesn't seem to be as dominant as they have been the last couple of years, but with Bowers and now McConkey back, they are better offensively than what they were earlier this season. SC gave them a tight game, Auburn played them tough, and lost in the last few minutes of the game. They are not unbeatable, and I think Tennessee is very capable of winning that game. A&M will be a tough game, I think it's likely to be whoever has the ball last kind of game. Alabama has quarterback issues and they have shown to be vulnerable this year. I'm actually feeling kind of optimistic about that game. Kentucky is much improved and will be a tough game, still think we win, and Missouri, yeah, they look better this year, but are they really? I'm not convinced yet.

I think toughest game left going forward is Bama. Crowd is going to have to bring it against A&M. It's clear playing at home is a huge advantage

Georgia will drop one but I am more concerned for Ky to drop one. I have watched their last couple games and they are moving the ball steadily. This weekend game with Ga will be a eye opener. It’s going to be an interesting last part of the season for sure.

Kentucky always looks great for the first 6 games. Then the wheels start falling off. There is only ONE game right now. That's A&M. And we have them at home and 2 weeks to get ready. I like our chances.

Agree road game at Bama will be hardest. Playing UGA at Home night game could favor us their QB throws it up some when pressured. He got lucky vs Auburn one when he was pressured fell harmlessly to ground other DB just dropped may have turned the game in Auburn's favor. I had as our hardest games preseason
1 Bama road
2. UGA home
3. Florida road
4. UK road
5/A&M home
I feel about same except UK looks a little harder & UGA looks a little more doable than I thought pre-season

Wait do we though? If we win out I think we win the east outright, as long as Florida continues to do what Florida does after achieving their annual goal of beating TN

That's correct but we still have to go to Bama. Assuming we lose that, it won't cost us the East as long as Georgia drops one too.

The $EC office in Birmingham will work with Saint Nick to assure TV people make UT- bama a night game... it's pretty much the be$t game but that only helps bama. Remains to be seen if we can win a night, loud away conference game. Hope so, but we need to prepare better & prove it.

Also, my hunch is TA&M @ Vols will be a 3:30 ish day game. Indeed needs our fans attending to pretend it's a nighter and be loud

The SEC office doesn’t decide kickoff times. The TV networks have a pecking order in which they select the games. CBS gets first pick each week with their 3:30 time slot. There are only three other SEC games that day, none of which are particularly good. TN/Bama will be at 3:30.

The season is still young, but one of the most unpredictable I've seen in ages. Florida looks bad at Utah, then beats us. Then they lay an egg at Kentucky. Old Miss looked bad against Bama, but looked good taking out a good LSU team last night. Auburn looked bad against A&M earlier, but almost knocked off Georgia yesterday. For the first time in ages, I think the SEC is up for grabs in both the East and West. It depends on who shows up on Saturday each game.

Thoughts on rest of the season (assuming current roster remains healthy and no Bru):

Great season: 9+ wins (incl UK) or 8 wins plus upset of (Bama/UGA)
Good season: 8 wins (incl UK win) or bowling and Bama/UGA upset
On Track: 8 wins (UK loss)
Off track: 7 wins or less

Honestly, I think this team's ceiling is 9-3. If we go 1-2 against those 3 teams, I don't think we should be disappointed.

Before the game yesterday, I was thinking the team's ceiling is 7-5. I'm glad they surprised me last night, specifically the defense.
Agree, 9-3 at best. Probably 8-4

Alabama, A&M, UGA. These are the most important games left, all must wins. Bama because it’s Bama and Tennessee must get a good streak going against them. UGA and A&M because Tennessee doesn’t lose at home anymore. I’d like to see a record breaking home win streak a few years down the road. If this means dropping the Missouri game(likely) and even the UK game(not very likely) so be it. It would bother me to lose to UK but the other 3 are more important.

Vols aren’t going to win them all - could lose all three with the current level of play of the Vols.

Glad you brought this up, it points out that folks that make posts like this MUST increase their NIL contributions by $100K before the first game referenced. Cause and effect don't you see.

It might be on paper , but my concern is we are night and day in true road games it seems.
You are LITERALLY correct.
SEC Road games are much tougher at night than they are during the day.
We always want to host night games and play the noon games on the road.
