money is bad and should be equally distributed between all citizens. At least I'm sure that's what our resident non-profit lawyer will answer

It's amazing how the left demonizes private sector success, but embrace govt expansion.

I don't really like Palin, but hating her because of what she makes in the Private Sector is beyond asinine.

Hate her because of what she stands for... not what money she commands due to her high profile status.

Hate her for what she stands for? Hate is strong language for a person who can't affect your life one bit.

Okay, if you want to be pedantic about it...

"hate on her"
"strongly dislike her"
"disapprove of her political/social stances with strong verbage"

Hope that's better. I don't hate her, but some people are definitely looking for a reason to. I'm just advising them to take a logical course of action in something that's inevitable anyway.

I understand hating someone in power, a president or member of congress. I just don't see how someone can hate someone who has no affect on them. I can understand disapproving of someone's political beliefs.

Palin does hold a lot of sway over other people's opinions. It's easy to be very wary over her for this simple reason:

She was the right person (white female) at the right time (opposite half-black male) in a heavy political race. She's selling herself as an image. I don't see anything of actual substance with her.

Her reality show is border-line depressing to me as an indication of where politics and culture in this country is at current.

What reality show?

don't be dense. Of course they would. They believe in entrepreneurialism and capitalism. Trying to fault the woman for capitalizing on her name is silly, unless you're beating down Clinton for the same issue.

the article on beck in forbes this week was unbelievable. the guy is making huge money.

I was flabbergasted. His shtick is worth a fortune apparently. He has sucked in guys like LG and it's beautiful. I bet more left wing screamers listen to him than anyone else.

the great part is he seems to fully admit it's shtick and his primary goal is to make money. i particurally liked the part where he goes off the meds when he goes on tour.

I have ZERO problem with her making as much as the market will bear. I mean, I think its hilarious that someone so stupid could convince so many people to listen to her drivel, but hey, that's their choice and she should ride that horse as long as she can.

I just meant that when she's touting herself as the big outsider, painting herself as the pragmatic Mom who can provide for her family by killing moose if need be, self-described home economist, who derides excesses as belonging only to the Dems, I just think there is a wee bit of a contradiction there. Wondering if anyone in the tea party might say "Hey, wait a sec ..."

Guess not.

Arianna Huffington, Michael Moore, Bill Maher, and Al Gore are examples of less than intelligent leftists who've convinced an alarming number of people that what they have to say is worth the price of admission.

Thanks for adding to the proof that you do not have a clue.

And this is why most politicians get into the business of politics. And that's my problem. Politics shouldn't be a business. It always has been and always will be though.

To me, the measure of a politician isn't what he/she does/does not vote for... it's what he/she votes for/against which doesn't directly benefit them. Of course... this is ridiculously idealistic.
