No one is attempting to defend Dana Kirk, John Calipari or anyone from "The U's" heyday in this thread.

You are attempting, unsuccesfully, to defend Bruce Pearl.

Defend? Hardly. Just laughing in the face of the idiots who have come to the defense of the pure and just NCAA and that are obsessed with continuing to bash a coach over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Here's one more fact for you. Pearl didn't have to spend time in jail for his crime like Kirk.

I'm not backtracking at all. I just don't feel the need to dig through months of threads just to prove something that everyone already knows is true. If you'd like to refresh your recollection, look for yourself.

Now this is just getting pitiful. Someone previosuly called your shots for you, right down to the "Everyone does it" argument. You're falling right into line, like a busted record.

Tell us how the NCAA is so fickle and unfair next. Tell us how Calipari and Auburn get away with murder and the NCAA turns a blind eye. Tell us how that makes it ok for Bruce Pearl to orchestrate a plan to lie to the NCAA, including trying to influence the parents of recruits. Tell us how he's a victim, because guys like Calipari and Saban MUST do stuff like this everyday. We'll wait.

Unfortunately for your argument is that Pearl brought punishment and reproach upon the University. So, because of that, we're no better than those two heinous excuses of schools you mentioned.

Will you wax poetic on how Cal was the Christ and Savior of Tiger basketball? How could he ever forsake the precious Bluff City?

Well as you know the NCAA has never, ever been known to be capricious. Never. Every single judgment handed out is always just, fair and consistent.

I'd say Pearl's lies were nowhere near what Tiger High and Miami has done, but maybe boatloads of cash passing hands and God knows what else just isn't that big a deal to you.

Sure, he f'd up, but it's high comedy getting preached on by a Miami and Tiger High fan. Two of the most notorious cheaters the great NCAA has ever known.

Cal is what he is. I won't defend him or villify him. If one day the NCAA does dig some dirt up on Cal, I won't be surprised. I don't see how he has any plce in a conversation about Bruce Pearl though.

Same goes for the NCAA. It is what it is. People claim the U.S. Judicial system is busted and crooked as well. Thats never been an excuse to break the law though, and when laws are broken, one can't use the "everyone does it" or "but look at how bad THAT guy is" excuses to escape punishment.

As usual, you are wrong. I argued at length that the UT admin has never been known to support basketball until Pearl arrived. Based on their past history, don't bet that they will continue forward. That's why they have such a rich history.

I think you do a great job at being a good lil soldier. File lock step with the rest of the idiots. Maybe you'll get a feather or something one day.

I don't disagree. I've never said that about Pearl. Some people are just too f'n dense to see otherwise.
