Josh Bone. Not only can he play D and handle the ball, he is a more consistent shooter imo.

Yea, I really like it when Bone pulls up his dribble after crossing mid-court. Man, has he shown he can really bomb in the three pointers! I shocked he isn't starting for this team. Have you really watched any games this year??

I think the Baller Vols will play UK tough. They seem to play up or down to the competition. For Kentucky they are usually up. Against Vandy, they're almost always down.

Ummm....what? Have you not watched the Vols last 4 games against UK, specifically both games last year? Tennessee got run out of the gym both games.

And why would they "play down" to Vandy? In case you haven't noticed, Vandy is actually good this year. There was no playing down to them.

I'm sure after losing to Vandy at home, we just weren't up for the game there. Overconfident, I'm sure.

If we weren't up to play one of our biggest basketball rivals, soon after they beat us at home, then I don't what else to say.

Guess Kansas wasn't as physical and talented as Vanderbilt, huh?

The difference is in the Kansas game we did not have the thugs playing streetball and ever since Goins and tatum came back they have went back top the streetball game and it don't work Bruce. We actually ran plays when we played Kansas.

Look what has happened since we got those players back and as coach says "depth" is back. Give me the Kansas game Plan. Dump Goins immediatley!

Apparently you were watching some other game. Goins was the only offensive spark we had in the first half. He actually drove the ball and appeared unafraid to take it to Vandy. No one else did.

7. Everyone is going to complain about the officiating. They were simply rewarding the aggressor.

The officiating was attrocious. How is it rewarding the aggerssor to call a touch foul on one end and swallow the whistle on a stream roll on the other?

UT got ran out of the gym by a better team that quite frankly probably didn't need the officiating help they got.

6. Tennessee's lack of poise was as disturbing as anything tonight. Failure to keep their composure turned a manageable deficit into a rout in the first half.
7. Everyone is going to complain about the officiating. They were simply rewarding the aggressor.

I think these two are relative. The officials are not to blame for anything we did with our pathetic effort and execution. I think there were several causes to our lack of composure. And while the officiating was not the sole reason, I do believe it had somewhat of an effect on it. Whether any of us feel they were wrong or not is irrelevant. It was obvious that Pearl and the players felt like there was some inconsistency. And with that it was pretty clear to me that they tried to make up for some of the bad calls by doing too much. Knowing this team and our lack of trust in executing while slowing the game down, it is hard not to agree with the officials having an impact on the game when you look at the stat sheet and see that Vandy shot 43 free throws and we shot 19 (excluding two technical freebies)

He's definitely a better basketball player than McBee is. Bone is twice as good of an on-ball defender that Skylar is. Skylar shoots a lower 3 point percentage than JP...so you tell me why we should have him in, especially since all he can do is shoot and even then he isnt that great at it, instead of a guy like Bone who can dribble, play D, and make good decisions with the ball?

I generally stick up for Bruce and Co., but this whining, complaining, then giving up shtick is getting old.

I'm not sure what point they try to make by acting like children when things aren't going well, but it turns 10 points down into 30 in about 2:00.

It'd be one thing if we were just a bad team, playing a vastly, vastly superior one, but to see a group of talent like ours pout their way around the court is embarrassing to us all.

McBee has a much better upside than Bone. I agree that Bone is the better defender, but that is all he brings us. McBee can occasionally hit a three and is a good free-throw shooter. I think he will improve with experience. Bone is what he is.

I will take a guy that plays very good defense over someone who can maybe hit a 3 every now and then. Maybe that's just me though.

How Hopson got to be a HSAA and not being able to dribble, I'll never know. Worst handle for an "elite" player I have ever seen.

Pearl and Prince both made post game comments about them having trouble running the offense because Vandy was taking away the passes to the wing. Well, most of that problem was that Hopson was just standing still when we were suppose to be turning the ball. He did not want to give any effort to v-cut or backdoor to get away from the defender. Taylor got up in his shirt and as a result Hopson just stood there not wanting to be physical or give any effort to get open. It was pathetic.

It may be time for Pearl to grab him by the jersey, jerk him around and stick his ugly mug right in his face. That seemed to work for a few games the last time he did it.

1. That was an utterly disgraceful performance. The only thing worse than the execution was the effort.
2. This team better drop the Tin Man act before Saturday. Kentucky won't call off the dogs.
3. As I've said multiple times, Jeff Taylor is the best NBA prospect in the SEC, Kentucky players excluded. He destroyed everyone in his path tonight.
4. When it takes multiple 3s from JP Prince to get you within 20, you know you got crushed. They're lucky the final margin wasn't 35.
5. If Scotty Hopson even considers entering the NBA Draft, he should be committed to a mental hospital. He's not even a consistently good SEC player yet.
6. Tennessee's lack of poise was as disturbing as anything tonight. Failure to keep their composure turned a manageable deficit into a rout in the first half.
7. Everyone is going to complain about the officiating. They were simply rewarding the aggressor.
8. This team isn't good enough to beat good teams without maximum effort. They've got to get back to simply playing hard.
9. Illinois can now rest easy. They've played themselves off the bubble.
10. Not having Jon Leuer is catching up with Wisconsin. They don't have the firepower to cover the loss of a double figure scorer for long.

I think you might be wrong on #9.
