Lets look at SEC schools and the quality OOC wins they have.

Then do it again with the Big 10...

Should be fun...

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : big, ten

That's as much work as I'm going to do.

Southeastern Conference
EAST CONF. W-L OVERALL W-L
Kentucky 0-0 15-0 North Carolina, UConn, Indiana and Louisville...also they have the best player in CBB.
Tennessee 0-0 10-2 The Purdue loss by 1 has to be amongst the best losses in basketball and when you see USC atop the Pac 10 leader board with subsequent wins against ranked teams, losing on the road to them does not feel as bad. TN still just has 1 quality win OOC against Memphis (although Charleston looks better after they beat North Carolina) and they can help themselves with a victory tomorrow against the same Charlotte team that beat Louisville badly.
Florida 0-0 11-3 Losing to South Alabama is a bad loss even if they are a 11-4 team and it was the third loss in a row at a time when Florida played Syracuse and then Richmond. They still have quality wins against ranked FSU and Michigan State and good wins against NC State and Rutgers.
Vanderbilt 0-0 11-3 beating St. Marys, Missouri and Depaul are great. Like fellow conference brother who beat UCLA, it sucks to beat Arizona in a year when you get no credit for it. They have a HORRIBLE loss to Western Kentucky but the other losses are vs. Cincy and at Illinois.
South Carolina 0-0 9-5 Miami, Clemson, BC and Baylor are not bad losses, but Wofford definitely is...Only great victory is Richmond.
Georgia 0-0 7-5 Beat ranked GT and Illinois
WEST CONF. W-L OVERALL W-L
Mississippi 0-0 11-2 Beat Indiana, Kansas State and UTEP.
Mississippi State 0-0 12-3 Not good when Old Dominion is your best win. Still Sidney has not played for them, and they look pretty strong at this point.
Alabama 0-0 10-4 Providence, Baylor and Michigan are good wins.
LSU 0-0 9-5 Close against Utah and Washington State, but this team is not as deep as TN minus our 4 suspended. They have no good wins.
Auburn 0-0 8-6 NC State at home lost by 2 and lost in a close one at FSU, the win against UVA is the only good one.
Arkansas 0-0 7-8 With suspended players back they looked great against Texas, almost like they could save Pelphrey's job.

A. NC State is not a good win.
B. DePaul is not a great win.
C. "Only great victory is Richmond" WTH?
D. Providence is not a good win.
E. UVA is not a good win,

You cannot overvalue wins like this and then compare them to the Big Ten. I know what the comparison will look like and it won't work.

D. Providence is not a good win.
E. UVA is not a good win,
A. NC State will finish 11th or 12th in the ACC.
B. DePaul lost to Florida Gulf Coast, with Koshwal playing. They'll be lucky to win 4 Big East games.
C. Richmond has some really nice wins. They also have some inexcusable losses.
D. Providence is slightly better than DePaul.
E. Virginia will finish 11th or 12th in the ACC.

Please tell me nobody is trying to pass wins over those teams off as resume builders.

Michigan 1-1 - 7-6 No quality wins OOC. Lost to Bama

At least Georgia pulled out a win against Tech tonight. I'm not for sure Tech is legit though.
Fox, as predicted, is getting everything you could possibly expect out of that roster. With the exception of the Wofford debacle, they've won the games they should and pulled off a couple they shouldn't have. Once he gets a couple of recruiting classes on campus, he'll have an NCAA Tournament team.

I wouldn't doubt that. Felton was a poor bench coach, but he left a little for Fox to build with.

Are you still acting like you aren't wrong? Looks like I am bookmarking this one, too.

Wait a damn minute... by your logic Michigan is not a good team because they a) don't have a good win and b) play in a lesser conference, but they count as a good win for Alabama.

Mods ban him, i am afraid this might be contagious.

Western Kentucky isn't terribly impressed with the SEC.

So can you or anyone predict what his excuse will be when the committee rightly places more Big 10 than SEC teams in the tournament.

Also, does he realize that the Big 10s quality as a conference has absolutely nothing to do with the SEC's quality? Even if the Big 10 does suck the SEC can still suck (which is does).

I certainly hope nobody who is trying to say the SEC isn't bad doesn't believe in the RPI as a measure of any value. If they do, the current conference measures will shake their faith.

With conference play starting, the SEC is likely to slip to 7th right? Or am I looking at it wrong?

Well, realtimerpi.com currently has them sitting at 4th, but the three leagues behind them all have better SOS and are extremely close.
