The majority were told that they might want to seek other opportunities. It happens every year at every school.

TN's roster limit is 83 scholarships this year so some have to go to make room for the new signees and anyone they want to bring in from the portal.

Papers had to be submitted today for him to enter the portal. I have not seen that they were submitted. I expect him to be a VOL in 2025.

Realistically the portal can save this team. If you hit on some key positions. Another great Olineman with Moe if he’s a hit is the difference in wins and losses. An elite safety or a game breaker at WR both might mean another win or loss this season.

Yep. Grab us a running back, three wideouts, 3 to 5 O-linemen, several corners, couple playmakers at linebacker & some actual starting SEC safeties and we're good to go.

my understanding is the date is 10am this morning when UT compliance has to submit if he does not change his mind.. bunch of weird stuff because of holidays and such

PT, money. Prob mostly money but a guy like Webb likely wanted more PT. Same for Seldon.

Some are probably looking transfer to where they can play and hopefully have a productive season, possibly jump back into the portal after next season to move up to a championship contender. Most are going to find out there was a reason they weren’t playing at Tenn.
