First, they are not good at all on knowing when to switch or not on screen plays. This leads to the person with the ball being open and taking an open shot. Another thing is that no one jumps for rebounds. They wait until the ball gets to their hand which is one reason why we get called for a majority of te fouls.

Of the weaknesses of this team, those two wouldn't be my top 2 or probably barely in my top 5.

Yes Ball Handling and its not even close. Just bad choices with the ball and being careless.

Switching every screen has killed us in the past. It isn't that we don't know, we just don't do hedging.

I have not been impressed with hopson since he was been here... I was hoping he was going to be a star... Anyone else agree?

Which channel is the game on? I've worked a 14 hour day and just cracked a Bud Light. I don't have the energy to search.

Smart a$$es need not reply.

I don't see anyone on our team who can shoot the ball consistently.

Bingo and specifically outside shooting. Our post play is also pathetic at times. Brian Williams = the softest big man in the country. We might as well get ready for teams to slump the defense in and make us shoot from the outside. If we get inside, look for anyone with depth down low to foul and send us to the line. That would be my strategy .

These two things can definitely be fixed before the SEC season starts. Hopefully, Pearl and/or Mcbee will not play as much once Maymon is eligible.

we have never worked out the screening defense issue. We hard switch all the high screens and get some ridiculous looking matchups regularly. I think Chism started hedging a little late last year, but it's just what we do.

Brian Williams is the king of hedging guards almost out to halfcourt. Haven't actually got to watch this year, but I know he did it regularly last season.

A lot of these comments are true. But this is a team that needs to more time to play together. Goins being out hurts because he is the QB. Golden did pretty well for his limited experience, but Goins is missed. Glad the FTs started falling at the end or this would have been a loss.

Ball handling--TWSS

Ball handling and distribution -- 2nd half was probably the worst I have witnessed in Thompson Bowling since CBP arrived. 1 assist for the entire second half - usually you accidentally get a few assists -- one on one - one on two - one on three. They actually handled the ball a little better but the second half was exclusively different guys (Harris and Hobson mostly) trying to take their guy - usually unsuccessfully.

it seems like tatum has been sitting most of the 2nd half. is he in foul trouble?

Tatum has always played good minutes I'm the first half then sat in the second. I think it's because he's alot better in the first half than he is In the second but I dont know.

Anyone notice Hopson drives to the hoop and:crazy::ermm: ends up dribbling the ball off his knee instead of the hardwood?

Why would you foul? We haven't shown having a post player who can finish inside. Williams has been a major disappointment so far. His improved play at the end of last season hasn't carried over to this year, unfortunately.
