Washington State To Spend $83K On Training Featuring Drag Queen Story Hour Director

Washington state is preparing to spend an estimated $83,000 on an employee diversity training featuring the Director of Drag Queen Story Hour, information obtained by The Daily Wire reveals.

Titled the Washington DEI Empowerment Conference, the training is set to include talks on diversity, “anti-racism,” and equity every Wednesday in June.

Hayden Michaels, the deputy communications director of the Office of Financial Management, told The Daily Wire that “We expect the cost of putting on the conference to be about $83,000. With 16 sessions and 5,000 seats each session, this works out to $1.06 per seat.”

The speech’s description defends the performance of drag in front of children, explaining that Executive Director of Drag Queen Story Hour Jonathan Hamilt will share “the necessity of LGBTQAI+ family programming and how the powerful art-form of drag teaches young humans about inclusivity, celebrating diversity, and the vital freedom of self-expression.”

Three Christian school counselors who 'misgendered' transgender students at a Massachusetts middle school have been put on leave over claims they engaged in 'conversion therapy'.

Delinda Dykes, Hector Santos and Tania Cabrera were accused of not using students self-declared pronouns and calling them by their birth names used before transition at Amherst Regional Middle School (ARMS).

The trio are also said to have failed to provide support for those facing gender-based bullying and have been placed on administrative leave while an investigation takes place.

Santos is accused of performing 'conversion therapy' and Dykes is alleged to have prayed against an LGBT 'demon 'that wants to confuse our children' and 'handed out chocolate crucifixes'.

Republicans in Montana have taken a strong stand against drag queens reading books to children, banning the practice at libraries and schools.

Republican governor Greg Gianforte signed Montana HB 359 on Monday; over half of the state legislature cosponsored the bill, which bars minors from attending sexually oriented shows.

I think what we are seeing is a pushback from the relentless push trying to normalize some sexual fetishes that many people find revolting. The constant push to normalize transgenders competing in sports, using the same locker facilities, having big fat men dressed as women reading to kids doesn't resonate well with most Americans. Add in the corporate push to normalize it like Bud Light and Target attempted to do has boiled the issue to the front burner.
I really don't think that people care what people do in the privacy of their own bedroom, but I sure don't care to have it pushed in front of my face and celebrated.

Most adults don’t care what others do in their bedroom. But this perversion can’t help itself, it has to creep.

Sure, the pushback is mainly focused on trans. However, in some places like here in FL, it has expanded to all LGBT folks. We are all groomers and pedophiles all of a sudden (yes, a bit hyperbolic but you'd be surprised how mainstream it's becoming.)

I don't believe most folks want us gone, just back in the closet.

I can understand your frustration, but when every time a trans person is mentioned they are included in the LGBTQIA+ umbrella and everyone else in that group gets caught in the "guilty by association" trap. It's not fair, but that is what happens when one group is pushed as being mainstream when it is far from it.

St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones signed an executive order on Thursday promoting healthcare for transgender patients.

Jones signed the executive order to show the city's "fight to protect our trans community," per a press release. The mayor acknowledged that the state capital was enacting "overwhelming attacks" on the same community she was trying to protect as a reference to the recently passed law that bans puberty blockers for minors.

I see no consequential difference between this and Sunday School/Youth Group. The event is being sponsored by a church.

Bud Light and its parent company Anheuser-Busch are sponsoring several “pride” events, according to The Daily Wire, including the Cincinnati Pride event on June 24 and the Pride St. Louis festival on June 24-25. Bud Light is also a Diamond corporate partner for Stonewall Columbus, which hosts several “pride” events in Columbus, Ohio, throughout June. Companies must donate $20,000 to be included in this sponsorship level as well as "affirm Stonewall’s diversity, equity, and inclusion policies AND agree to donate no less than 8 hours of volunteer time during a calendar year," according to a document from the organization.
