The Quarterback Conundrum we are in

If this is not a great year for quarterbacks, then is there a 2011 mega-star QB that is high on our radar?

Could end up with Hendrix, Marve, and Scroggins. Might want a diamond in the rough such as Coty Blanchard or Tommy Rees.

If we have the scholarships to give, let's just sign them all & let them compete for the job.

Thanks, Sab. I think CLK will come up with some viable combination of candidates.

Am I the only person who is uneasy about Newton? I just don't like bringing in a Gator. If he had had a nasty falling out with them, saying " I hate those b@#$%^ds, and I'm gonna make 'em pay," then that would be one thing, but if he left thinking that he should still really be a Gator, then I am very uneasy about it.

I don't see any way that Newton comes to UT as a QB. He just doesn't fit Kiffin's style (see Boyd). My first choice would be Heaps, but I think he will stay on the Left Coast. I hear that Marve will announce early this week. I think it will be UT, and I also think we land Hendrix. If USC offers Scroggins, I think he'll end up a Trojan. I think we'll sign 2 in this class. Any more and there will be a QB logjam that would scare off a lot of 2011 prospects, which looks to be a more talented class.
