The Recruiting Fix 12/10

I don't believe that's even still a rule. :)

After reading some of the posts on here(i.e. run-on sentences, no capitalization, terrible spelling, almost no grammar, etc), I truly wonder if they teach any type of writing in schools at all. With all the info you give us, which BTW is surprisingly upbeat, you do a great job. Thank you so much for that little shot of optimism so many of us on here look forward to. Maybe you talked a few of them off the ledge.

:good!::good!:

Korn is not the same QB after multiple injuries to his throwing arm. Based on Clemson fans' and talk show hosts' opinions that I've heard, we do not want him. Thanks for the recruiting info.

the only thing that concerns me is the possiblity of yaw yaw leaving....we need him for a few years to get the recruits in here, not a 1 and done

Victor Thomas moving to center makes perfect sense. Thomas is a much better fit at center than at DT and it is not only a way to see the field earlier, but it is a way to see the field period. He is 6′4″ 286 lbs currently. He is plenty quick for the position — he is just going to have to work on learning the scheme and getting stronger in his upper body. There is plenty of time to do that and making the move just before bowl practices, which are not as restrained as weekly in-season practices and allow for more coaching, is genius. I think it is very possible, with the head start he will have, that he is our starting center next year

Does this mean that maybe Revis and Hood are not going to help in this capacity? This sort of concerns me. Is this encouraging competition? Does anybody have any insite to how good these guys are or could be?

It's probably just insurance in case Revis and Hood may not be physically ready yet and/or just trying build some quality depth with an older player. Coaches must like Thomas, just not as a DT.

Sab, I read somewhere (maybe on TOS) or maybe even here somewhere that, Simms was asked if he recieved an offer from Tennessee while on his visit and he said "Basically yes.) Is that incorrect or I wonder what "basically yes" means??

Sorry about the multiple typos and grammatical errors. I proofread the darn thing three times, but it was so much info I missed some things.

I am aware that you should not end a sentence with a preposition... :)

Its overrated.

We all know what you meant.

Well done bro.

Also look for a DC in waiting to materialize in future years with Lance Thompson being the likely candidate. I am convinced that he, and not Orgeron, is the likely successor to Monte Kiffin. I think he is being groomed for the role. Orgeron will be aspiring for a head coaching job somewhere in the future and likely will get one.

I completely agree and said this same thing when all of the Thompson to UL w/ Strong was going on. Not saying that CEO wouldn't be a candidate for the job, but I too think his next move will be to a position higher than DC. Thompson came here to learn from CMK and I think he will eventually step into that role when CMK moves on... which will be a sad day.:bad:

He is in the exact position now that he was in prior to the visit -- waiting to see if UT is going to offer.
