has to realize they are now officially on notice. Miami and North Carolina have talented freshmen and sophomores running all over the place. Their annual matchup will soon be the de facto conference title game.

Butch Davis is doing a hell of a job

he's doing well, but i cant help but feel that this year is going to be like saban last year at bama....not that they'll lose to a terrible team or anything but that the team will end up with an ok but not great record

The thing about Butch is that he has a lot of young talent from a good recruiting class or two. Think what he could do with all of his kids that he brings in and some experience.

I like how Miami went and sacked Cameron Sexton on third down, forcing UNC to kick a very long field goal. They missed. Against UT Sexton sits back comfortably for 15 seconds until a receiver gets open. UNC picks up the first down and eventually scores a touchdown. Tarheels win.

Remember, UNC is playing with a backup QB.

Randy Shannon is also doing a very good job of adding talent.

Shannon is doing/will do a good job of reviving Miami, but it has to be easier to convince a kid to come to a team with rich tradition and beautiful weather such as Miami, not to mention that Florida is stockpiled in talent. What Davis has done in just 2 years at Chapel Hill is amazing. He's now surpassed Jim Grobe as the best current coach in the ACC.

The rest of the ACC should thank God TJ Yates got hurt. Otherwise, they are all playing to finish second to UNC.

i know, and they're playing their hearts out. I just cant help but feel that they're going to start running out of steam as the season goes on...kinda like bama last year.

That being said, they've played great and they're going to beat a few acc teams that normally UNC shouldnt.

Great game...It would be nice if we had a good coach like this 2 gents. Both of these teams are good.

I'm pretty sure Miami-UNC is going to become one of those games that has people circling the date on their calender.

I agree with Hat, especially about Miami. They are loading up. They'll be in the ACC championship soon.
