If we use Meline on defense, I hope to Rod we use him on kick returns or something. Seriously though, what do you do when, out of the 5 kids coming in at wr: The SHORTEST is 6'2'', the SLOWEST runs a 4.58, the WORST RATED are 4 star all americans, and the LOWEST vertical is 29''... Ironically, the guy with the lowest vertical is also the shortest and the slowest guy in the bunch, but he's a 5 star and the #3 wr in the nation; The tallest 2 guys unfairly have 38'' and 40'' verticals, one of whom is the #2 long/high jumper in the country; And the other 2 guys round it out by running 40 yards in 4.4 seconds or less, and the fastest time(4.34) is also accomodated by a 41'' vertical and the #2 wr ranking nationally.... So what's a coach to do? We've still got to put a 6'7'' te and 6'5'' te on the field at some point! Then it just becomes mind-boggling to know that the best hs player in the country this time last year(who is now your starting rb) was just as much of a receiving threat as a running threat in the All American game... I think you could start a front 5 that consisted of nothing but women's tennis players, all trying to pass block for a one armed qb that can't see over them... And SOMEBODY would go up and get the ball.
