He knew ND could not run on Bama's defense. The only way to beat Bama is with the QB.

bad game plan. i thought it would be some option and draws like manzell did. seems like both teams knew it was a mismatch.

Oregon and Bama would have been a track meet. Assuming the ducks tackle better than the little green guys do.

This is becoming a trend for the golden dome givers:

2001 Fiesta Bowl: Oregon St 41- ND 9

2006 Fiesta Bowl: Ohio State 34- ND 20

2007 Sugar Bowl: LSU 41- ND 14

And from what I can see at this moment, Bama is about to catch a murder charge for what they're doing to the dome givers. Poor ND, couldn't happen to a better bunch of fellas.

This is terrible television. I can't wait for a playoff do we can see two SEC teams play each other every year.

Based on what I have seen so far Texas A&M is still the most impressive team during bowl season.

UGA and their fans are saying what might have been.

According to Rivals ND has the top recruiting class as of now. I wonder if this will change any minds and hurt their numbers?

While they might give Bama a better game, Oregon would get beat as well IMO. Bama would smash them in the trenches. BAMA's offense would keep Oregon's offense off the field. And it's been proven that Oregon doesn't look so fast against elite SEC defenses.

I felt sorry for ND! The have a long way to go. Reminds me of Ohio State getting exposed in 06 and 07. ND program is behind the really good ones.

I do not think they have a long way to go. If ND has speed in the secondary, that would have been a much different game. As it was, AJ McCarron played the game of his life and ND could not simply sell out against the run.

With almost everyone returning for ND, I imagine that Kelly's priority all fall has been signing lightning fast defensive backs.
