There are currently 9 SEC teams with 2 or fewer losses. There are scenarios where as many as 7 of those teams could end the regular season at 10-2, which would be insanity. Out of the 6 teams with only 1 loss currently, I believe only the winner of Tenn/UGA and Texas have a real chance of finishing with only one loss. How many teams do you think end the regular season with 1 loss and how many with 2 losses?

My prediction is (0) 1-loss teams and (4-5) 2-loss teams.

Below is the remaining schedule for each of the 9 teams with 2 or fewer losses:

Texas A&M (6-1): LSU, @USC, New Mexico St, @Auburn, Texas

LSU (6-1): @A&M, Alabama, @UF, Vandy, Okla

Georgia (6-1): UF, @Ole Miss, UT, U Mass, GT

Tennessee (6-1): UK, Miss St, @UGA, Utep, @Vandy

Missouri (6-1): @Alabama, Okla, @USC, @Miss St, Ark

Texas (6-1): @Vandy, UF, @Ark, UK, @A&M

Vandy (5-2): Texas, @Auburn, USC, @lsu, Tenn

Alabama (5-2): Mizz, @lsu, Mercer, @ Okla, Auburn

Ole Miss (5-2): Okla, @Ark, UGA, UF, Miss St.

Way too soon to speculate. I like the A&M schedule and they are undefeated in conference

Fortunately, teams will continue to eliminate each other as we do. Vandy isn't beating Texas (or us), very doubtful Ole Miss beats Georgia either.

Missouri could very easily finish with 2 losses given their schedule, but they'd still probably be on the outside looking in.

LSU and A&M are tricky. They play each other this weekend, and then play Bama and Texas respectively later in the season. Even the team that loses this weekend controls their own destiny (since neither even has a conference loss).

I think the SEC gets at least 3 teams in. I do think we'll have 4 teams with a record of 10-2 or better, so that 4th team will be firmly on the bubble.

I see Vandy at 7-5 (Maybe 8-4) at best, Agree with Bama and Ole Miss prob at 9-3, Mizz is tricky b/c although I don't think they are good and could see them losing 2-3 more games, their remaining schedule is pretty weak.

We share the same opinion.

I'd love to see Vandy win out, 9except for the UT) just so two Tennessee teams are in the playoffs. I want our state to be one where any other teams dread the prospect of playing a Tennessee team.

A&M will beat LSU this weekend. They likely drop that game in Carolina though. Texas and them will be a toss up imo.

LSU has a fairly tough path. I think they drop another one possibly two.

Georgia vs Florida, at Ole Miss then vs Tennessee at home. I think they can run that but I could see them dropping one.

Missouri is dropping another couple.

Texas has a fairly easy path. Arkansas shouldn’t be overlooked; they absolutely despise Texas. Speaking of teams that despise Texas and are also coincidentally cults as well; Texas A&M gets Texas at the end of the season. If you ask an Aggie fan to decide between a national title and destroying Texas’s season, it’s at least a very difficult decision.

Vandy- Lol. It’s been a good season.

Bama- just don’t see them winning at lsu.

*except Memphis. FCS teams are licking their chops when they see the tigers on the schedule this year.
