1. That was the basketball equivalent of Ishtar. Nobody should ever watch that again.
2. Scotty Hopson's aggression was a welcome anomoly among the casual play around him. It had all the intensity of a YMCA game of HORSE.
3. Tennessee's balhandling was, as usual, abysmal. It's as if they have a quota of turnovers to meet.
4. I wonder if South Carolina fans realize yet they've been sold a bill of goods. Darrin Horn is the SEC East version of John Pelphrey.
5. If you're playing zone, the other team shouldn't be throwing 25 foot passes for layups. The Gamecocks are about as halfassed a defensive unit as you'll see.
6. Brian Williams had another solid game. He's too big for those guys to move.
7. Tobias Harris is pretty average right now. He's got to start attacking the rim hard instead of settling for that one handed floater.
8. Bruce Ellington is a talented player. Too bad his coach makes no attempt to harness those skills.
9. Nothing says big time entertainment like Mascot Musical Chairs. Armadillos, Moose, and assorted other animals dancing around is simlpy inspiring.
10. Cameron Tatum showed signs of snapping out of his malaise. That said, Josh Bone should be playing more minutes.

Good write up hat. Scotty was very, very solid and Melvin improved.

Random question: You get my question about fantasy baseball?

Didn't get to see all the game but Mcbee looked almost scared to try to dribble the ball up the court. He made some very risky passes instead of trying to break the press. What is your opinion?

The Scotty Hopson "reDUNKulous" show was one of the most exciting things I've seen of the Pearl era. Those were sick dunks.

He has no business playing point guard at this level.

Yes, I'm just not sure I've got enough time to keep up with it enough to field a competitive team. I'll let you know by the end of the week.

Heard Hopson had some great dunks. The free throw shooting is horrible, making the final 4 free throws saved our average for the game, but a guard/forward shooting 1/6 is unbelievable (Tatum). Kenny Hall got some playing time and looks like he did well in his limited minutes.

Big game against UGA on Saturday.

Were done, I've been hoping to see the team from early on that many across the country thought was a final four team. But just watching tonight, I've had a moment of peace! I'm not going to get mad, frustrated, and feel nervous during games anymore. This team doesn't have the heart or the chemistry anymore, we may sneak into the tourney. But these lazy, big egos will be gone in rd1, no more than rd2 and I'm done worrying about it, if they don't care, then I don't!

Sounds like the same team, same mistakes, same deficiencies, just weaker competition. Same ole same ole. Over/under on remaining games we lose is 3.

As usual, I agree, especially with these. Did think Tobias started well, even if he didn't dominate the whole game.

Also, have you noticed Brian Williams' freakish ability to narrowly miss double doubles? In the last six games, he's had at least 8 points and 8 boards in each. He averages 11.3 points and 8.7 rebounds. He has zero double doubles in that stretch.

I am greatly jealous of your experience at TBA tonight... Cant believe you got to see a Mascot Musical Chair off... curse you and your quality entertainment opportunities.

Didnt see the game, but I assume your talking about the one foot-one hand-floating right handed shot. You cant get to the line at any level with that shot.

Do you think he will ever develop a back to the basket, or power move?

I want to say again that Steven Pearl has an attitude problem. No respect for the opponents or officials. The coach's son shouldn't have that problem.

Melvin looked like Oscar Robertson tonight compared to the past couple of weeks. Sheesh, ugly wins are better than losses.

A pump fake doesn't seem to be in the repetoir for the inside guys. Does the new ball get boiling hot after holding it for 1 second?

Let him be like that. I have no problem with his tech. At least he didnt start the jawing back and forth. Id rather our team have one more reason to be motivated.

I suppose your dad being verbally abused by people everyday and many of your teams supporters hate that you play would make you pretty peachy on the floor as you try to prove you belong.

Agree 110% about Bone. Why he doesn't see more minutes, I don't understand. The guy is just steady and doesn't do anything to make you scratch your head, which is something to be said for this team.
