1. Jodie Meeks would like to thank the various matadors who took turns guarding him for allowing him, for one night, to know how it feels to be Kobe Bryant.

Im completely shocked that when he got to 26 in the first half that we didnt come out in the second half and rough him up a bit... I mean, Brad Nessler or Jimmy Dykes said it best, it didnt bother Prince, Tatum, etc.. that Jodie was shooting in their grills last night. As bad a point guard Ramar Smith was last season, i cant help but believe that we would be better off with him than Maze, he's just a lot tougher and it actually "bothers" him that someone is on your homecourt shooting in your grill all night long.. Bobby Maze, Cameron Tatum, JP Prince, and Scotty Hopson are all Jodie Meeks bi**hes and as a bball fan I cant wait to see him score 80 at Rupp... Also, Dykes/Nessler at one point during the game said that Meeks loves to cut hard and take on contact so i would have loved to see Chism, Williams or Negedu lay him flat on his ass as with an elbow to the nose and blood gushing all over th floor, that would have slowed him down a bit wouldnt it?

6. To all the UT fans who went scurrying to the exists at the 7:40 timeout down 11, a simple question: Why did you bother to show up in the first place? Next time, just do what all of you did before you jumped on the Bruce Pearl Bandwagon. Sell your tickets to Kentucky fans. That way, you won't be in danger of missing the Murder She Wrote/Matlock/Father Dowling Mysteries trifecta you love so much.
7. Great job by the students of not filling all of their allotted seats. Hopefully, Mike Hamilton will use that as the impetus to take away the side court section they have.
.

Amen, it makes me so mad when old farts have to "beat the traffic" or "get home for work" I know the outcome turned out bad, but maybe the team gave up, because obviously the fans did. And to the students, I am a recent grad of TN and their would be NOTHING going on this early in the semester on a Tuesday night that should have kept anyone from being at that game!

8. Having a wing player that the opposition doesn't have to guard outside 4 feet doesn't much help an offense. Prince at the 3=UT playing 4 on 5 offensively.

This was very disappointing to see. When they showed the starting 5 on the broadcast, I had to fight vomiting.

Other teams already know that they do not have to guard us on the perimeter, and putting JP "walking vagina" Prince at the 3 allows the D to just pack it in the paint.

Agreed. When Prince has the ball, they back off and DARE him to shoot the 3, basically smothering our guys in the paint.

The first time JP touched the ball and had a wide-open 3 the crowd gasped. The announcers even made mention of it that he sucks at 3 and the crowd didn't want to see him shoot.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I consider this a handicap.

all good points. i couldn't believe how easy it was to get tickets last night. me and my friend paid 15 a piece for 2 in row 6 of the upper level, and i know we paid too much. we simply bought those because we were freezing and didn't feel like shopping around. also, how many times did UT play decent defense for the first 30 seconds of the shot clock, only to relax thinking they were safe, and give up a wide open 3? that was what frustrated me the most.

It's sad that we are all beginning to accept that this team is just not that good. There is no reason to think otherwise. I was talking to a guy in my office yesterday and said (almost jokingly) that Meeks would get fifty and KY would win by double digits. He asked why, and I said that there was no reason to think otherwise based on what this team has showed. When you can't score and can't stop the other team from scoring, it gets pretty tough to win games.

And youth is not an acceptable excuse. Memphis was on the brink of a national title when their best player was a true freshman.

After watching last night I noticed something else this team is void of.....pride!
and has Tyler showed up in the first half lately?
In his defense, Tyler was the reason UT closed to within four just before the half. I think he scored the last nine points of the half?

But yeah, before that...

But, but, but.... the poor students probably had 6 tests today, 1 week into class. Also, everyone forgets that they have to pay for football tickets now.
They are probably working their second shift of the day trying to round up that 90 bucks.:cray:

I am not sure where the empty student seats were. I was sitting five rows from the top of TBA. Seemed pretty full to me.

I don't yell at the guy working the grill at Krystal for not providing me with a five star meal. This team just isn't very good. I've come to grips with that. The faster people realize that fact, the happier they will be.
Yep, this team is pretty far behind last years team. Lofton is a bigger loss than I thought also.
