The Section 103 Postgame Report.

I was trying to accentuate the positive. The male cheerleaders charged with holding up and catching the young ladies acted as if they were juggling flaming chainsaws. The only thing that appeared to be remotely coordinated was the taping down of the mats. I thought Wade Houston had been placed in charge of the cheerleaders.

On Rivals it says that the Charlotte fans were chanting the theme song from "Cops". hahahahahaha..... I can't help it. THAT is just funny. Does that make me a bad person?

Very nice game. Nice to see a 22 pt lead blown and then built back up. Confidence for some backups will only improve. If we stay within 10 of Kansas I'll be more than ready to watch this Vol team in the SEC. I was one of the guys hoping Tyler Smith left last year; now we'll get to see how that works. Loved Kenny Hall and the balance we saw tonight. Nobody standing around waiting on someone else to make a play.

I rushed home from the game to read the section 103 post game report and couldn't wait to laugh my butt off at what Hat had to say about the cheerleaders at halftime.......funniest thing I have seen in a long time. But I got nothing.
I completely forgot about that. They look like they need some serious practice. I thought someone was going to get hurt out there. It's obvious, Hamilton needs to make a decision.

The dance team looked good, here's hoping for another NC to continue the dynasty.

Hall's ability to finish around the rim is what I like more than Williams. Not to mention he brings great athletic ability. He's still learning on both ends, but that's too be expected by most young guys.

When is that cheerleader competition? They looked horrible. The dance team looked pretty good, at least from my nest high up in Section 313.

Charlotte fans were in fact douchebags.

I was nearly at the back of the inhabited 313. At the other end of the row there were four or five college-age looking guys cheering for Charlotte. For some reason, two or three of them were standing much of the game, even though there wasn't anyone else within 20 feet of them. Curious.

The "bad boys, bad boys.." routine their fans pulled was real classy.
I found it rather humorous. Honestly, their whole attempt tonight was adorable. They didn't give up till the very, very end though. But, they should've prepared much more material.

January 15-18 apparently, they should be fine.

:lolabove: Yeah, maybe if the ones on top wear something like this:

That's what I was wondering.....GT game, too. I haven't been as "tuned in" as much as usual, so I am truly asking and (not rhetorically).

I really was asking, as well. "hatvol" seemed like the person to ask after reading his post game synopsis....

9. Somebody around here mentioned Cornell being pretty good. That guy is really, really smart.

Somebody around here is an amazing hypocrite who rips people for saying Memphis had a good loss against Kansas, or that Tennessee had a good loss against Purdue, but wants back pats for saying the Big Red are good...

They beat two pretty good teams in Alabama and Umass first two games, and since then they have lost to every quality team they have faced. Now they will storm through the Ivy League...so would UGA.

While I don't think hatvol has any self-confidence issues, I took what he said about his praise of Cornell as humorous as I'm sure most did.

My thoughts from watching on ESPN360 -

1. Never used 360 before and liked it.
2. I will give Pearl credit where it was due. That was about as solid of a performance as I could ask for and I never expected them to play that well.
3. Kudos to the players for stepping up and giving an effort I had not seen since #5 graduated.
4. The "four minutes of funk" is just a Pearl staple. I give up and just expect it every game.
5. I think Bone can be servicable as a back-up.
6. JP Prince needs to shoot 500 shots from 15-19 feet a day, if not more. I've never seen a worse outside shooter in college bball that isn't a legit inside guy.
7. This is Chism's team now. The offense must run through him. That said....
8. He's got to stop the pointless technicals. If he's on the bench we have no chance.
9. Kenny Hall will be a beast.
10. If Negedu was able to play I would have no concerns at all inside.
11. That was Charlotte. We'll find out a lot more of how good this team is over the next month.

10. Sunday will be fun. Number 1 coming to town should always get everyone juiced, regardless of the circumstances.

Yep. I'm pretty sure I'll make it down for this one.

Pearl doing a recreation of Bob Knight-Jim Wisman with Scotty Hopson.

Hey, maybe it will help. I'm for anything that has a chance of lighting a fire under Scotty.

the last minute of the game in the Cornell game was a complete screw up by Cornell coach. Not having Dale in to guard collins was stupid, yes I know Dale had 4 fouls, but what the hell was he saving him for. Then the moronic inbounds play for a 30 footer with guy in your face...good grief...at that point let Dale penetrate and Foote spot or run some screens....very disappointing in that last minute.
Cornell is very good and Dale is the silent leader. Louis is an incredible kid and D1 coaches really missed out on a talent

Someone already mentioned it, but with these 4 bozos suspended, losing Negedu preseason is an even bigger blow. That said, I think this team will persevere and do well and make the Dance.

I agree if they don't continue to work the ball in to Chism we will not be competitive against the bigs.

The head person in charge should be knocked for the routines. Everyone else is just following instructions by apparently someone who has no chorography ability, imagination or skills at all IMO.

I did not see the game, but I talked to his HS coach this morning, who had a phone conversation after the game with Scotty. He thought Hopson responded positively.

While you seem to focus on his demeanor, and without seeing the game or knowing exactly when the incident occurred, I would like to know how he produced after the incident.
