1. Great win for Tennessee. They survived awful shooting against a pretty good opponent.

2. John Wall is going to win SEC Player of the Year by acclamation. That's too bad, because Wayne Chism deserves some serious credit for carrying Tennessee.

3. One thing that will get lost in the shuffle is Scotty Hopson's defense on Terrico White. If White had been scoring to complement Warren, Tennessee gets blown out early.

4. Josh Bone was the difference in the game. He slowed Chris Warren down and hit his open shots.

5. Ole Miss will not beat good teams until they get something out of their posts. Those guys were awful today.

6. Renaldo Woolridge regressed today. The learning curve is rarely straight up.

7. It'll be interesting to see how Maze handles being on the bench in winning time. His attitude will be tested.

8. You won't see a good player have a worse six minute stretch than Warren had at the end of regulation and overtime. He flat lost his team the game.

9. We've seen this roster can win at home. Now comes the hard part.

10. It Pitt wins the Big East, Jamie Dixon shoul be named Coach of The Century. The fact they are still unbeaten in league play is shocking.

Can't disagree with anything there. Wayne has just been phenomenal since Tyler's dismissal. Interesting note about Hopson's defense. I'm glad you pointed that out, bc I had definitely forgot about it.

Did you catch any of the Pitt/Louisville game? Hard to believe Pitino couldn't get his guys to hold on. If Edgar Sosa makes one more free throw, Pitt loses it.

Good write up, hopefully Maze can take this the right way and continue to be a leader.

Nice report as always Hat. Is there any reason that Goins should get back into PG rotation now?

Hat, do you think it could be a sign of some coaching growth by Bruce that he benched Maze due to poor defense?

Yes, but I don't think it took Pat Riley to realize UT was going to lose if Warren kept using Maze as a turnstile.

I was thinking the same thing about the road games.

I am so happy we are playing at Bama and at Georgia to start the road slate against SEC teams. We should be able to beat those teams with even an average performance.

I also thinks its best that Tatum and Goins are making there returns on the road. Can't see Goins playing much with how well Maze and Bone have played in their absence.

GREAT WIN!!!!! I thought we had lost it 5 times. Very impressive victory.

Chism commented post game on the radio that Maze was physically spent and that's why he was out tifwiw. Either way, every player should want to be in the game in crunch time. We need him to keep playing like he has been.

We need to learn to hit a free throw. Game wouldn't have been close if we shot as well from the line as Ole Miss.

If Chism isn't first team All-SEC, I will go beserk. He was absolutely impressive today. By far, the best game of his career.

He keeps playing like that and he won't have to worry about being drafted at all.

Saw this posted by an Ole Miss fan on TD:
If you're 6'9 and not legally retarded, you'll have a big game against Ole Miss this year.
Of course Chism deserves his credit, but that pretty much sums up the Rebel woes.

White still ended up with 17 points. What about Prince being 2 rebounds and 2 assists from a triple double. I am not a Prince fan but he played well today, other than the turnover on the outlet. I also saw more flat out hustle today and against Kansas than I've seen since Dane Bradshaw graduated....

Let's not get down on a knee for Prince just yet...

He turned the ball over several times and committed and absolutely stupid foul. He's a VERY streaky player.
