The claim was that her negatives "shot up" during the shutdown. The implication was that she was hurt by it.

But, the number actually posted was simply a comparison between approval and disapproval. It did not measure a shift in her negatives over a particular period of time.

What was posted does not equate to proof that her negatives changed at all,much less that they got worse.

I'm sure her negatives did go up some during the shutdown... And yet the stance she took proved to be more tenable. Trump is the one who caved; not her.

While the majority of comment on CNN/MSNBC and other was that Trump was to blame, that was usually buttressed by Trump's words -- that he was to blame.

I nonetheless heard PLENTY of commentary on those channels about how the Dems needed to compromise, too, and that they had previously supported various border solutions they were now criticizing.

On Fox, ALL I heard was that Trump was right. ALL of the commentary was on his side. NEVER a criticism of him.

So take that media bias crap and suck it. As Trump said, he was taking complete ownership of the shutdown.

So your narrative is that her 48% disapproval rating was before the shutdown.

I never seen anything you're describing. In fact on Saturday, they were saying Pelosi won this battle and don't have to do a thing.


No Democrat should be criticized for voting for the fence before. Their fence is a waste of money and is useless against a human crossing.

I don't understand the lovefest many people have for Ann Coulter. Her behavior is rude and indignant.

Come to think of it, I don't understand the lovefest for commentators in general who spew anger and insults. It engenders contempt and incivility and bears no good fruit.
