It's very simple. When making a parlay, you can instead bet on combinations of smaller parlays from that set of bets.

FOR EXAMPLE:

You make a parlay of 5 spread bets: If they're all even odds (-110), then your parlay would be an all-or-nothing bet with odds of +2436. A $100 bet would net you about $2436 profit.

For Round Robins, you can bet money on all combos at a certain level:
  • You can bet all combos of 4-team parlays (5 bets total)
    • Each parlay would be +1228
    • You would need to bet $20/ea to make your bet $100 total.
    • If all 5 teams win, you only win $1228 profit (less than
    • If 4 teams win, only 1 of your parlays hits, but you get paid ($165 profit)
    • If 3 teams or less win, nothing.
  • You can bet all combos of 3-team parlays (10 bets total)
    • Each parlay would be +596
    • You would need to bet $10/ea to make your bet $100 total.
    • If all 5 teams win, you only win $596 profit.
    • If 4 teams win, only 3 of your parlays hits, but you get paid ($89 profit)
    • If 3 teams win, only 1 of your parlays hits, and you get paid $60 (loss of $40)
All of the combinations are pretty puzzling, but the biggest thing is that you're mitigating risk. I like shooting for bigger parlays, but I'm not very lucky, so I like having a safety net to land in if I miss one or two. I'll take that over it being all-or-nothing, in a lot of cases.

Here's one I have going right now:

I put $100 on each of 3 2-team parlays. If 2 teams win, I make my money back, plus about $150. If all 3 win, still a good payout.

Simple! 😂

@BigSteve09 I see you found the Vols 1Q spread on DraftKings. I'm waiting on the 1Q over points. It should be 10.5 or 11.5 again this week. Are you betting the spread?

My new rule f*** you NHL! Never put NHL in a parlay, hahaha. Had a great one going and the Carolina team got me, lost in overtime. lol. I only hit 1 yesterday. 1/6. +12$.

In my post above. Could round robin saved me, if I had taken out the loss? That was one I was worried about even picking. Shoulda just left it out all together, wouldve still been +2000

Your payout for a $5 bet for a straight parlay would be about $150 (145 profit)
If you did a round robin of 7-way parlays, you would have won $12 (7 profit)
If you did a round robin of 6-way parlays, you would have won $17 (12 profit)
If you did a round robin of 5-way parlays, you would have won $18 (13 profit)

I gotta figure that out. I had 3 massive parlays that got killed by 1 game and each game that missed were games I was iffy about before betting.

I was gonna get one of y'alls referral codes for draftkings but it wouldn't let me do it. I guess you have to do it when you 1st make the account.

I downloaded the app, made an account, but didn't deposit until today. I thought it might let me use the referral code @ 1st deposit. Anyway, got the deal where my 1st ML bet of $1 gives me a free $100.

Apparently I get 4 free $25 bets. I wonder if I should put them on UT's 1st qtr @ -8.5, maybe half of them?

The big difference for what you're doing is that your payout (ceiling) for getting all 8 games correct would be lower, so that's a consideration. How much is the insurance worth?

Idk, I'm a Moran, didn't even realize there was full insurance. I've seen insurance for parlays if just 1 leg goes south, which would've been fine with me. Idk if the price of insurance would be worth the overall cost. I guess it all depends on the ins. price.

Yes. It also greatly depends on which game loses.

Also, it's not literal insurance. It's just interest through making a series of smaller parlays instead of 1 big one.
