The temporary Vols baseball thread 2024 till Mexico gets through saving the world and can do the important VN work.

well I saw right before we got the warnings the LSU manager and they were saying something about making a sudden change, but I wasn't listening much and I didn't think they were talking about the pitcher...I thought maybe another position

Satchel Paige howling in laughter from his grave at the very notion of a "pitch count" HAHAHAHAHA
Satchel wasn’t throwing anything like these freak athletes are today. and he had a higher mound to give him advantage. Now it’s throw your arm out with motion every outing. I don’t like pitch counts either, but it’s a different world than even I grew up playing in, and different universe from Satchel’s.

From a recent email received from Tennessee Athletics -

Tennessee Athletics etched its name into the record book, becoming just the second school to capture three consecutive SEC All-Sports titles, presented by USA Today Network. Four Tennessee teams captured SEC championships in 2023-24, headlined by No. 1 baseball sweeping both the regular season and tournament titles. Men's basketball and softball also won regular-season SEC titles.

Tennessee became the first school in SEC history to win a men's basketball, baseball, and softball SEC championship in the same year. Under Danny White's leadership, Tennessee has won 12 SEC titles since the spring of 2021. In the four years before White's arrival, UT won two SEC championships.

GBO!

Northern Kentucky are hot coming into the Knoxville regional. Arguably, their best pitcher will face the Vols tonight. They’ve got bats and play aggressively on the bases. Here’s hoping the Vols get DPs and go downtown on their ace. GBO!
