The Tiger Woods saga

Playing Devil's advocate: all those who think Westwood shouldn't be #1 - who should be? Make your case. The door was kicked wide open for Phil, and he couldn't get through. I think Graeme McDowell had the best year of anyone, but he hasn't done enough in the longer term. Westwood is a serious threat to win on any course at any time in any tournament, and the only other guy you could say that about right now, I think, is Dustin Johnson.

Westwood at the top should invalidate the thing. Aside from Mako teeth, bro has nothing about him that says best.

Who you give it to then? Not saying Westwood deserves itbecause he doesn't remotely come close. Phil? Furyk? Stricker?

One year ago today I started this thread fearing that Tiger had been seriously hurt in an automobile accident. What a clown show this whole fiasco ended up being.

wow..fired Stevie...guess you could have seen it coming with him working on Adam Scott's bag..but still a shocker

Not a shocker to everybody. Rick Riley seems to have suggested it in December of '09:

Rick Riley suggested Tiger fire everybody, including Stevie Williams. yeah, that will happen.

Somebody on this forum saw it the same way:

Make no mistake that for love or for money, Tiger is going to have to make some changes because of this. I don't think swapping Stevie for a younger model that doesn't have any connection to Licentious Tiger is out of the question.

It took a bit longer than either of those two psychics probably thought, but breaking off everything from the orgy days was inevitable at some point.
