No not true. I like being part of a group of friends who care enough to ask. You impress me as a person who does what your heart says is right, and you should continue with that.
We shouldn't leave moral education up to our schools, it's a parental responsibility. Sounds good. Except we've been cutting education funding for the last 65 years in the name of "Government programs are socialist, and, I don't know why but that's dirty", so our grandparents and parents are the products of poorly funded schools.
"No new taxes" sounds good. Until you realize that right now, today, we are seeing what happens when you combine "The Children are our Future" with "So Let's Think About That Tommorrow".
We've now got the products of deprived educational systems raising kids in even more deprived educational systems. No wonder we need metal detectors and the horribly deprived nation of Chad doesn't. No wonder we rank 47th according to the most recent U.N. educational study.
Abstract masturbation to the words "No New Taxes" has a cost. Mostly that cost is our children's inferior education and inferior ability to think abstractly. Sometimes it means they shoot their teachers and classmates too.
