It's the exact same problem Obama/Reid have been having. Both sides keep losing their base with every middle of the road deal they present.

What middle of the road deal are you referring to?

Accepting tax hikes in exchange for the promise of some day maybe 10 years from now possibly considering a tentative budget change that might result in some marginal savings... isn't middle of the road.

Obama's "balanced approach" as clearly articulated by him the other night calls for immediate tax increase and unspecified spending cuts to be determined at some later date... by someone else.

J.B. can kiss my white azz if he feels like throwing out a luke warm middle of the road deal that gets us no where.

Furthermore, any politician who was just elected on the right side of the aisle understands they were sent there to stop this crap.

I thank God for the men and women who were just elected who are throwing their weight around. if it wasn't for them, there would even be a debate going on right now.

TP gonna rock this house. We gonna rock this house hard!

I don't see why the full solution has to come here. It is a point of max leverage but.

I would have taken the Go6 deal with more specifics. After that, the Boehner deal was good.

Better to betray Boehner than to betray the country.

In spite of your hatred and bias, we would not be having discussion of how to control the national debt if not for the TP movement.

Disagree. We've been talking about it as long as I can remember. We might be talking about it more now, but the TP probably isn't making any significant changes. It got hijacked by the religious right and the warhawks. A lot of the party isn't willing to cut spending if it's military spending so they can't even unite themselves for cuts, let alone America.

Wish the TP would go ahead and get on with their armed rebellion so that American can rid themselves of the movement.

Yep. Too bad, in its initial state I was on board, before the usual suspects took over the soapbox.

I can see your point but if nothing gets done now I really don't see the drastic cuts and change in the way our elected officials spend our money happening. The tough decisions will only be kicked down the road as they have been for far too long. We are saddling our children and grandchildren with even tougher decisions in the future. Just my thoughts anyway.
