No college fan outside of Knoxville, Stoors or Waco would list Women's Basketball in the "big 3" I'm not sure I'd list Baseball either. I don't really think there is a big 3 just a big 2.

Texas is typically competitive in all three plus baseball.

PLUS, Texas won the NCAA Womens Volleyball yesterday..... the day before we Routed them in BBall.

just saying.
I was nervous that some of you wouldn't be able to sleep if I didn't bring up that little known factoid.

Are you talking about in the next decade? If so, shouldn't this thread be in "Around the NCAA"?

. Id almmost bet the house the ladies final four gets more attention than college world series. Just saying. I have never seen a college baseball opening for sportscenter

I agree here. College baseball gets no prime time coverage. Womens Bball has more recognition of not only heir athletes but also the coaches on ESPN. Bball is the pinnacle of women's sports although I will admit the volleyball is much more fun to watch. :)

Women's basketball definitely gets more viewers than college baseball. I'd venture as far to say that lacrosse gets more air time than college baseball.

I like girls field hockey too. Dated a girl who played field hockey when I went to Annapolis from another local college. Those girls deserve some air time....

I can't think of a school that has won the national title in football men's basketball and women's basketball. I think the schools most likely to would be Tennessee Texas Ohio State UCLA

yes we do. so i think the only way UF qualifies for this thread is if we use football, men's BB, and baseball as the big 3 sports...

Until your post, I did not even know that colleges had baseball teams. They got to sux. The great majority of good baseball players go pro straight out of high school. I bet the % of major league baseball players with college degrees is under 5-10%

UCLA has done it. Lots of men's titles, 1954 football, 1978 basketball (in the pre-NCAA days).

Cunzo Martin is in what his 3rd year at UT now?? I dont see the men's BB team winning a NC any time soon...maybe another SEC title down the road but that team isnt built strong enough to knock off the likes of UNC or Kansas or even Duke...nope not happening!!
