The Congressional Republican Old Guard isn’t going to be able to steer Trump as they did during his first term. I expect contention and chaos to appear sooner than many celebrating Trump’s election victory. Republicans will do some of what’s been promised but not all. Before replying angrily, take a breath, and consider that our government is designed this way.

You should be proud to be an American regardless of who the President is. This was a great country before he was elected, it was a great country when he was President, and it'll be a great country after he was President.

We're really lucky to live in a country where it doesn't matter all that much, good or bad, who the President is. A lot of other countries in the world can't say that.

When it doesn't go your way it is called a threat to Democracy. When it does go your way it is not a threat to Democracy. If that is all someone has for an argument then we are in a sad state. Worked well for KH.

The one thing that the designers of the Constitution was to anticipate this happening, factions rise in every party.

This is going to be an interesting 4 years as to how the country deals with it. It is all about power and the enforcement of it.

Montecristo, yep; I used to smoke their small Cigars in the Yellow Tin. (Tinder Box Tobacco Shop) Tops. I quit all that 15 years ago, but it was enjoyable in my younger days..
