"The U"

And I'll just remain blissfully ignorant... Does this have to do with those "U" commercials ESPN is showing?

If you don't know about "the U" then consider yourself lucky. It will make you a bitter person.

It was Charlie Garner when he was a Raider.

This must be Stu Scott bring us the world of sports in "Ebonics." I send him a note on his performance weekly. He went to UNC but Michael Irvin has dragged him over to the dark side. No pun intended.

I'm sure no pun was intended with the "Ebonics" coment either!!!

And for the record, I am a "U" fan..........

Good, maybe you can give me a good explanation as to why your team is ranked so high after losing to UNC, Clemson, and the Hokies. Do you really think that you should be ranked higher than the Vols? After all, 2 of our 3 losses were to Auburn and one of those losses was a championship game. The ACC didn't even have a championship game. Even if they did, the canes wouldn't have been in it.

Who was it on MNF a few years back referred to Ohios State and "THE" Ohio State?

Anthony Carter . . . "The" Ohio State University is actually the official name of the school.

I've also heard Charlie Garner and several others on MNF refer to UT as the Univeristy of "the Untouchables".

Were you a fan of Kellen Winslow, BDC?

You mean, Kellen "the warrior" Winslow? Who thinks that everyone wearing orange is out to get him. :dlol:

You guys need to give ESPN a break, after all they are the tabloid TV of sports. And who better to feed thier teleprompters than players from the Miami/Dade County Correctional Facility - oops I meant the "U" .

So I was just watching the Larry Coker show on CSS, don't ask me why. They went through a part of the show where him and the announcer were picking teams in bowls. He thought the crowd would get to us in the Cotton and picked A&M. He picked Pitt in the upset over Utah. He picked Cal over Texas Tech, because they would be "mad" over the BCS. He picked LSU over Iowa, and the one he got was Texas over Michigan. And I thought that I was bad at pick 'em. Don't quit your day job Larry....oh wait.....yes please do!

I'm glad I miss all of that ESPN stuff about the U and all, although I'd like to be able to watch college football games...up here in I was stuck listening to how wonderul the Rose bowl is and that only the teams that play in the Rose bowl have any talent...yeah right..I really am sick of PAC 10 football

As far as something that suprised me... I have to hand it to the Big Ten teams that made it into their bowl games. They really suprised me and have been doing very well. I thought Oklahoma State would be a challenge for Ohio State, Iowa was probably going to get a solid beating from LSU, and Michigan looked shaky and I thought there was no way they could compete with the Texas running game or defense.

ok bigdaddycanes, maybe since your such the canes fan you can understand the jibberish Stu Scott speaks. Ebonics is no language in our land. Tell me the scores, trades, injuries and leave the stupidity out and shut up.(and which camera are you looking at any way?) Go Vols, 35-7 forever.

Imagine living in "U" country :yuck:, it is so old!

They sure are a football factory but there seniors do graduate. I heard a interview today with the canes special teams coach and he said the "U" attention has been great with recruiting. :disappointed:
