The Ultimate Cord Cutting Guide (merged)

Yep. I have the ad free version of Hulu right now. The Disney bundle will only be with add supported Hulu. Curious if they will offer an upgrade option. Because it would probably be a no brainer for me. My gut says that they are trying to normalize commercials again...

It was hard to give up the DVR, but not having to watch ads on Hulu makes up for it.
I already pay for ESPN+ and Hulu and of course I'll need Disney+ for the kids so the package is a no brainer for me. I don't mind commercials, especially when the kids are running around and asking for stuff all the time lol.

Looks like Philo and Sling are really the only options to get Nick Jr...
Depends on what you're after. If there are just particular shows the kids like, you might still be able to get them on demand through Hulu or Amazon.

Peppa Pig

About the only option I've found is Noggin (Nick's streaming service) for $7.99/month which is also available thru Prime

Just checked and it's not on Hulu, but a bunch, if not all, episodes available through Prime.

Nice - that will give me all my locals plus everything (or almost) I have on PSVue

Honestly, my bet is that Google resources are going to outweigh Sony resources when it comes to perfecting streaming. That said, since I switched to my Fire Stick 4K my picture quality from PSVue has been outstanding.

The only thing I see they dont have is the NFL channel but i suppose i could deal with it

I've got a calendar reminder set. I'll use Youtube next month when Vue ends in a couple weeks. Everyone seems to like it.

I recently switched to Vue for NFL Network and redzone, along with all the other regional sports channels. At least for football season. Although having five simultaneous streams is nice. Better than YouTube’s three considering I have a family of four.

True, the beauty of all of this is that you can try a service and only be locked in for a month :)

do you use AppleTV for Vue - I had terrible luck with it but since I moved to a Firestick 4K it's been really good.

Vue worked perfect on my Apple TV. I just did the 5 day preview. I do have the 4K one so I don't know if that makes a difference

Vue on my 4k Apple TV is awesome. Once in a while it buffers a little bit but all in all it’s amazing. I couldn’t give up NFL network or Redzone. I have mine hard wired and it makes a HUGE difference.

Thursday Night Football” game will be blacked out to Dish Network and Sling TV subscribers on both Fox and NFL Network if Fox and Dish don’t have a deal in place by kickoff, according to multiple sources. Last week, NFL Net simulcast the game to Dish Net subscribers even as the satellite distributor dropped Fox’s owned-and-operated channels, FS1 and FS2.”
