Ha! I was actually in another room when I heard her singing and had to come watch to see what the hell was going on. The closer I got to the tv, the worse it sounded.

I guess that kinda confirms that she and Monfils are a thang. Or were before she embarrassed herself and Gael with that voice.

No mas Redfoo?

Fed may win this tournament.

As honest an assessment as I can give, I don't see the usual Fed slip up occurring this year even though he faces the mercurial Monfils and potentially faces Cilic or Berdych. All of these guys can blast through the court and end RF's run. Fed is playing well enough to get to the final this year especially with his draw.

Assuming Djokovic gets there as well, he is the heavy favorite. Murray or Stan Wawa shouldn't be overlooked. But, come on. Djokovic is in beast mode.

If I had to guess today, I'd give Djokovic the title over Federer in a close but not classic three set final. 6-4, 7-5, 6-2.

Yeah, I'm not sure Djoker's getting beat. Murray brought his A game today, and Djoke still took him out in four. Murray was crushing the ball.

You never know, though. Fed is really playing well. I wish Rafa was in the tournament. Tennis needs Rafa.

Last night's match between Murray and Djokovic was a hot mess from start to finish. Djokovic showed he is still human and was ripe for the picking. Murray played well in spurts and extraordinary at times, but crapped the bed when it counted. To his credit, Djoker held on and toughed it out.

I thought Murray was playing well in those first two sets.

Cilic v. Fed will be interesting. Cilic is playing well.

Yeah, that confirmed it, but the paint peeled off my wall when she started singing. Painter gonna cost me a fortune.

And they play the match on Arthur Ashe. Great name, but the way it captures the wind is miserable. Ashe needs to go indoors..put a roof on the sucker.

No offense to either Kei or Marin, but nobody in the US will watch this final. I like them both, but this just brings home how much pro tennis will suck once Fed, Nadal and Djoker are gone.

Exactly. The ratings for this match will be an all time low. Not even sure I'm gonna watch it.

I'll still watch it. These are top tier players; it's not like two scrubs managed to make it to the final. I've been high on both guys all this year. And Kei took out the best player in the world, and Cilic DEMOLISHED Federer, who was in fine form. I agree that I'd rather see some combo of Fed/Nadal/Djokovic, but I don't have any beef with the final matchup.

Federer played well but just had no answer for Cilic's entire game. I'm not sure anyone on Earth could've beaten Cilic yesterday in that form. His serve was unreturnable and whenever Fed did return it, Cilic's groundstrokes were on a rope. Those two played some terrific rallies, all of which were won by Cilic. Federer said that at no point in the match did he have a read on Cilic's serve, but was more impressed with how Cilic was swinging freely on his groundstrokes.

Hard to imagine that (1) Nishikori will be able to do anything with Cilic if Cilic stays in form and (2) it's also hard to imagine Cilic will maintain that form.

I'm pulling for Nishikori because I love his game. I don't care enough to watch though. It's sort of like if Cincinnati played Jacksonville in the Super Bowl.

I know I said I might not watch the final. I'm watching. This is what I have learned from this tourney - Cilic is likely to be a factor in many majors to come.

I only caught the last two games. What are the odds Cilic maintains somewhere near this level for a while? It'll be interesting to see how each of the top players attack/defend against him now that Cilic has found this game.

Rumors are Nadal is shutting down for the season. Smart if it's to add days to his Slam career. Makes you wonder though just what is going on with him.

Federer still has a lot to play for this year. Davis Cup is around the corner. This is his last best shot at winning Davis Cup.

Finally, who had Wawrinka and Cilic holding Major hardware when the season started? Better get used to new names holding these trophies.

You heard Nadal is shutting it down?

Cilic looked amazing. He can really play the game. He deserved the win the trophy.

"Rafael Nadal hasn't played since the fourth round at Wimbledon in July and is making slow progress towards a return after pulling out of the U.S. Open with a wrist injury.

Jon Wertheim of Sports Illustrated mentioned in his US Open: fifty parting thoughts article on Monday he's not convinced Nadal will return for the rest of the season.

Maybe they were simply putting on a brave face, but ATP officials were expressing confidence that Nadal would be back from a wrist injury for the Asian swing and the World Tour Finals. I’ve also been told by sources not to be surprised if he shuts it down for the rest of the season."

Nadal is practicing in his hometown of Manacor, and told a local TV station he's putting in the necessary work to get back to competing, but is still experiencing pain in his wrist."
