anyone who thinks saban is going to actually going to overlook any team or allow his team to ever overlook a team shouldnt really call themselves an alabama fan

Are you sure your a Bama fan? I've never heard that much positive talk about UT from a Bama fan before. My mind is blown right now!!

If we can get the game to the 4th quarter, then we have a chance. Surely in the next year or two we can compete with, and beat alabama..but wouldn't it be nice to get the upset this weekend?

I do not think Saban plays any snaps. As well as our teams are prepared and he has them buying into the process (take care of us not worry about everyone else) they are still 18-23 year olds. Too much press can be a bad thing for their mindset. Never said they would over look them but may not take them too serious but now we know UT can play.

I'm not saying we can't beat them.
I'm saying that, to this point, Ole Miss and VT have been better than us.

We can beat Missouri and Auburn too. But, so far, they're both better than us.

By the end of the year, I agree...their schedule will be decent. But, to this point, I don't think they'd be ranked #1 without the past few seasons. Florida State's win last Saturday was much more impressive than anything Bama's done.
We can be subjective and just say that we think Bama's better than FSU, and that's fine, if that's what we want to base rankings on.
But, if rankings were solely based on the current season and were objective, than FSU would be #1 right now.

Then, it's a difference in philosophy.
I think each season should stand alone, and I don't think teams should have the advantage of starting higher than other teams.

I think if we would have beaten GA it would have gone a long way for our confidence! Looking at what Vandy just did by beating then actually hurt us!
