The very last clip on the end of the farewell CBS/SEC montage...

...was an overhead night shot of the fireworks going off at Neyland.
They immediately faded to the 3-2-1-0 & out.

There were several other Vols clips close to the end, but that was my favorite.

Begone CBS, we won't miss ye!!

I’ll have to say, I’ve been fond of the CBS broadcasts since ‘96. Maybe it was just the music . Still nothing like Ron Franklin on ESPN, but I’ve enjoyed CBS.

It's been consistent that "ESPN hates us" here for years, so I expect to see: "I wish we were back on CBS" "Jeez, CBS wasn't even this bad" within the first quarter of our first game.

Vols fan in Aggieland. It wasn’t that long ago I had to use ESPN Gameplan to get those Jefferson-Pilot broadcasts of Tennessee games in Texas. Looking back, I miss them, even though Dave Neal somehow migrated to ESPN. Never did know what happened to Dave Rowe or Dave Baker.

I've read for years on this and other fan sites about various TV announcers and their hatred or bias against Tennessee. I have to be honest, in all but a very few cases, I just never really saw it, and that includes Gary Danielson. Most announcers try to be fair, with usually a little more background info on the home team. Sometimes it's hard to heap a lot of praise on a team when they're getting their asses kicked.

CBS honestly did a great job I won’t really miss Gary but I will miss the intro music and their production. They showed alot of Tennessee in their montage video even if alot was from several years back and in our 90’s glory days but the last shot of the fireworks going off after we beat Bama was awesome.

Yeah. It was Gary. Until Tebow arrived, everything seemed fine. With Tebow, he seemed to try and float with the power of the SEC. He’d not ignore the brilliant plays or players of other programs, but he would always be clearly in favor of one team or another. “Yeah ! I am fairly sure this really isn't true, but CBS seems to have longer commercials than any other televised broadcast. At least it seems that way in Neyland. The dude with the countdown timer is on the field forever.
