From an entertainment standpoint yes but not from a vocal one. First off, I'm a huge fan of that song so anyone else trying to cover it is just going to fail before they even start. Because of the way Aaron Bruno performs that song and the background track that the band did with it, it really can't be covered.

My sister called me and tried to tell me how Kat had a huge range on that song and when I finally watched it I didn't hear it. Funny crowd surf though, I'll give her props for that.

This song is sung on a lot of competition shows but if you do it and you kill it like Mathew just did then you rule. He nailed the high points both vocally and emotionally.

Matthew's performance was my favorite. He nailed it. Not pitchy, hit all the notes, and he sang with emotion. Unfortunately, I found Carolyn's performance underwhelming. She sang fine, but I think the song choice was bad for her. It didn't do her justice at all. I really like Carolyn, but she could be in trouble. Who do you guys think could be in trouble?

Thats another reason that I don't like it, it's basically a free pass.

I think Carolyn goes home after that performance honestly. Worst song choice of the week I think. Her voice on upbeat dance tracks, not a good combo.

Once again though Matthew, James, and Cole destroy it. I could see any of them winning this honestly. If I had to guess right now it'll be Cole though, he has the Duck Dynasty vibe going for him.

It's not a free pass, if you have the talent to perform it perfectly, he did that. He earned it, it's not a pass.

Caroline didn't do great but she's got a fan base I think she'll be fine. Anybody else who isn't Mathew, Kat, or Cole has a problem.

Basically...meaning if he does a decent job, nobody will vote against that song.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised that Caroline was saved. Wasn't her best performance. Not her song choice though...

I think the top 4 are Matthew, Caroline, Jacquie, Cole.

I'd wager 95% of people watching the show never even heard of that song before.

I missed Will's tonight. How'd he do?

Jacqui was off. Not her best performance but she's still good. Matthew didn't start off great, but dang the kid can sing! Tess was really good, as expected.

So who goes home?

I think the three best performances were Cole (again), Will, and Tessane's

Matthew's opening was terrible, but he did kill it at the end as usual.

I should just point out, Will was eliminated in the battle rounds what, twice, to James and matthew right? and now he's in the top ten or better. He could be the New York Giants of this contest.

I haven't seen one bad performance from Tess, can't say that about the rest.
