The Walking Dead

Beth is dead and they still find a way to bring back her singing.

I called the studio and ordered that up special for Jerry and all the Beth haters.

I've never read the graphic novel but after hearing how much of a badazz Ty supposedly was in it, I feel cheated. What a ripoff.

Tyrese got Amanda'd.

Yay to Tyrese dying, though I blame Gabriel. Boo to Beth singing.

Wuhahahaha! I was smiling every time they showed Beth singing because I knew how much you hated it. :)
If only Lizzie had told Tyrese to "look at the flowers" it would have made the greatest tribute episode. :p

How about we just go ahead and thin the herd some more. Next up better be Gabriel and then Eugene.

There seemed to be quite a bit of foreshadowing for those that caught it. Glenn picking that bat up. If they go the way of the comics... Just seems like it has to be foreshadowing to have Glenn pick the bat up like that.

I'm thinking the saviors or whatever they're called are responsible for the wrecked town and murders.

I thought the same thing about Glenn.

And yeah they almost have to be setting Negan.

Yeah, nobody has discussed the radio broadcast that Ty was hearing. I guess we're to assume it was just part of his hallucinations but I wonder if there wasn't some sort of truth to it. The fact that it was an English voice(Andrew Lincoln) was also weird. Some group broke into that neighborhood and caused that havoc. I was listening to parts of it and it mentioned "the republic" and that they were setting normal people on fire, just killing whoever and whatever they found. Kind of explains the burned bodies all over the lawns and some of the houses being partially burned.

Did anyone else feel like this episode was a bit boring? Idk, I just expected more.

Sure someone died, but we knew he was going to die and they just kept dragging it out.

Maybe parts, but honestly I think the show sometimes gets nitpicked to death, and then on the flipside gets praised unconditionally by others.

I thought it was a good, not great episode. I wouldn't call it boring, but I agree parts were drug out. But that's kind of how it's been forever now.

I kinda figured out what my thoughts were talking to my son at lunch today (he's a big fan too.)

Up to this point, there's always been somewhere to go. There's been a goal of one kind or another in every episode. This one felt like a complete and total dead end to me for some reason.

My expectations are so low right now, that it was kind of what expected entertainment wise. It was ok, definitely had slow parts.

Well I'm new to walking dead so I haven't had it drag on like some I got to watch it in bunches.. So it's still good to me and still high entertainment value.. The only season I watched episode by episode was this first half season. It was the worst season to me so far..

I was thinking about recording the rest of the season and binge watching them all one weekend. When we get 3-5 weeks in a row of nothing, it becomes hard to stay interested.

It was a decent episode. I get what volly is saying though. It did feel very hopeless for the group as a whole. Seemed to be a good bit of subtle foreshadowing.

Part of me was sad to see Ty go but at the same time if they weren't going to use him properly than just ditch him.

Now... What was up with the walker torsos piled into a truck.

Oh... And Morgan is back 500 miles behind them again. This feature course he does have the map to DC with Abraham's note about Rick Grimes. Chances are he doesn't meet up until they are in DC.

Walking on egg shells is what they were doing after the first half of the season and the way they killed Beth. You guys might not have liked her singing but the way they killed her off was as insulting as the van going over the bridge. They gave Ty most of the screen time for you to stomach that he was dying and to say goodbye. They even brought back Beth in the only way they knew how to try and please some fans but I think the damage was already done on that.

They were still traveling in the last season it's just that they were split up while doing it. They were still jumping from house to house until they all reached Terminus. This is mostly unprecedented territory that we're in with regard to the show because this is the first time they've traveled the furthest(500 miles) and even left the state of Georgia.

Subtle foreshadowing is right. I'm fairly certain we see at least one more death if not two before this season ends. Greg Nicotero even hinted ominously about the coming episodes and how desperate it gets with the traveling and having no food and water.

I agree with you about Tyreese. If they weren't going to do his character properly then let him go.

Morgan remains an audience tease and until I see otherwise my feelings on that won't change.

Yes it was a mostly boring episode. Much of it devoted to Ty's death. Not even that interesting of a character for much of his time.

And what's up with him struggling with that second walker to bite him? The one the Gov turned into after his hallucination. Probably the physically biggest/strongest character on the show and he can't get free of a decaying walker?

He may have been weakened by loss of blood. But as we've seen, the story often dictates the strength of the walkers.

How about the one that had the steel rod in its collar bone that deflected Michone's sword?

Lots of tease in this one with the bar wire, bat, what looks like a bat to the head of Noah's mom. The. The radio broadcast talking about the rebels. Wonder if they are The saviors? And what in the world are the wolves? Are they actual wolves or a group?

Anyone else wondered how it was so easy for them to just travel 500 miles to VA?? Also, that's one helluva pair of walkie talkies they are using.

The had held radio got me. They didn't even try there. I know I know it's a make believe world.
