The Walking Dead

I think the show runners completely forgot about Heath by the way. There have literally been no updates on this guy since November.

He is too busy filling Jack Bauer's shoes right now to worry about the Zombie apocalypse.

All this talk about the deer so I had to you tube and check it out. That's horrible. They should have cut out a cardboard deer and put the word "deer" on it in sharpie. That would have been better

I actually thought the bulk of the episode was fine. I don't think the Rick fake out was meant to trick the audience as much as set up Michonne's reaction. I felt like quite a bit of plot AND character development was covered.

Having said that, the deer looked terrible and the sword toss was corny as it gets.

I didn't think it was great but I will defend that they actually let Rick and Michonne act like real people for the first time in a long time. It was refreshing to see them both have dialogue that wasn't so forced and over-dramatic non-stop.

Having said that, regardless of the reason for the fake-out, it was still pretty cheap and they really need to stop. And as far as the deer...I just really don't know how that made it to air being that bad.

Also I found the exchange at the end between Rick and Lloyd Christmas' sister strange. They're bargaining back and forth and Rick ends it with taking more guns, keeping the cat and then telling her to say yes....that was just weird. Did Rick learn the Jedi mind trick between episodes?

I agree, these fake out deaths are annoying and meaningless. There is not a single person who genuinely thought rick died.

This was as much of a filler episode as there could be.

I disagree about it being filler. We knew they needed guns for the scavengers. Not showing how they acquired them would have been dumb. Then the scavengers demanding more gave Tara the final reason she needed to tell Rick about seaside which they also showed her trying to justify her secret throughout the episode. Plus we had Rosita's story sprinkled in. All-in-all this was a fairly balanced episode.

And as I said earlier, I don't think they intended for the audience to think Rick died. That was solely for Michonne.

they could have had a Styrofoam deer used for bow practice, that would have looked better.

GTFO! That really is Heath! Hahahaha! I literally had no clue. I was honestly sitting there one day watching 24 legacy thinking who is this random black guy, I don't think I've ever seen him in anything before.

Oh crap! That is him, huh? :eek:hmy: Hair and glasses threw me off!

He also portrayed Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton.

Seems more like MadMax Thunderdome syntax to me.
I think that they were living on society's fringe before the apocalypse.
They have too many oddities to develop this quickly.
Even the cannibals spoke normally.

Are you saying they have zero intention on following through on their deal?

I would be seriously concerned that they won't if I were Rick and company.
They didn't have any guns when they surrounded them...
I could also see them bailing as soon as some of their people get killed in a skirmish too.
As they said, not their fight. Haven't had any contact with the Saviors...

Didn't they also say something about not getting involved and just picking up what's leftover in the end too?

not knowing the comic or all the small details, how did Morgan kill Richard, spend time with him after the rest left then dragged him to bury him but Richard never turned into a walker?

I'm not sure how he was able to move the body there, but it showed him sticking a knife into his head after he strangled him.
