The Walking Dead

Anybody still watching this? I noticed they added 6 episodes to Season 10 and the finale is next week. Judging by the ratings the interest in the franchise is hitting lower and lower and this is going to limp to the finish line next season. The last episode got a 1.94.

They added 6 new episodes to Season 10 for the fans due to the COVID shutdown.

Honestly, I wouldn’t waste your time watching them. It’s nothing but filler that doesn’t add anything to the plot. Pretty boring imo.

I watched about10 mintues the other night and it looked like it could have literally been the last episode I watched about 2.5 years ago.

The plots were getting so boring and dumb that vowed to quit watching. Since I know the end is near I decided to watch it to see how it plays out.
BTW-So many episodes where the good guys have guns drawn on the bad guys only to have the bad guys take it away. Incompetence😒

I didn’t realize they aired the original S10 finale back in October. I watched it a few weeks ago. Been meaning to catch up but haven’t made the time.

I never got around to watching season 10 because I cut the cord and Hulu and AMC don't play well together. I saw where it hit Netflix. I guess I'll plow through. Hell, I made it to the end of Lost.

24 episodes?!?

The show began its decline when it struggled to fill out 16 per season.

I want to watch it just because I made it this far but 24 is going to be a chore.

They are doing a Breaking Bad type final "season" and it's going to be broken into Part 1 and Part 2, with 12 this year and 12 probably in 2022. It's really more like a Season 11 and a Season 12.

From the Season 11 Wiki page:

AMC confirmed in September 2020 that the show would conclude with the eleventh season, covering 24 episodes over a two-year broadcast period, at the same time as announcing a spinoff series involving the characters of Daryl and Carol to start airing in 2023

That takes away any suspense if either are in a dangerous situation.

Kind of takes away suspense already announcing a Daryl and Carol spinoff; not that I thought they'd kill either of them off.
That’s my point. Might as well make them bullet and bite proof. 😉 From the trailers. I think Dog gets killed off tho.

The only ones I could see dying would probably be Negan, Father Gabriel, or Aaron when it comes to main characters.

Daryl and Carol were never any danger of getting killed off.

The back half of 10 was a stinker because of Covid production limitations. Season 11 had a much darker tone and I enjoyed the shift.

I thought it was better post Rick’s removal in general. The long break during 2020-2021 just killed it for me.

I do want to see how they wrap it up but it feels like chore to make time for it.

I watched each part of season 10 in one sitting fast forwarding through the filler. Probably spent an average of 15 minutes actually watching each episode. I'm in this until the end, the investment is too great at this point.

I don't think it's going to actually wrap up as it's just setting up the next spinoff with Daryl and Carol. They're going to milk this as long as possible.
