Before the highly predictable Sat night meltdown (please be a win!), just reminding everyone that on Saturday we will face one the top teams in country, again! Currently #6 :eek:

I realize this is a waste of time but comparing them to us is like apples to "Oranges" (pun intended).

They have an experienced O with a great QB and SEC speed all over, we have a pretty good kicker!

They have good special teams with alot of good athletes, we have a pretty good kicker.

They have a solid D with a fair amount experience and playmakers everywhere, we have one of the worst D's in the country pretty much intact from last year, (although showing improvement from last year) and a pretty good kicker.

Regardless of the outcome Sat. try not to behave like inbred Bammers and realize that better days are ahead, and that we just need to beat a couple of the "More Beatable" teams on our schedule! This isn't even year one for Butch and Co., its year HALF OF ONE! Go hide the dam mattress and the lighter fluid!

Keep reading the below and your life will be happier:

I will Cheer until I am hoarse at games.

I will be insufferable when we win.

I will be completely depressed for days when we loose, and NOT post on VN for at least 2 days!

I will not live and die on every play (of course I will).

I will drink all the booze I can get my hands on while tailgating (its my Duty and I will not shirk it).

And I will support my beloved Vols no matter what happens and will never, EVER, BOOO MY TEAM OR COACHES!

Spoken like a true VFL!!! I love the energy, Keep it up we need more enthusiasm. Even if your team is down we can still be positive fans, if CBJ is the chosen one we will soon see results. GBO

Anyone that boos the Vols at Neyland should be punched in the throat, then repeatedly sodomized with a shovel.

And just think, last year we would not be singing Palardy's praises. We are young and we don't have quality depth. Whether we think Butch will get the job done or not, he needs a couple of years to recruit for his system and to build depth. Until then, we need to root for our current team regardless. DO NOT BOO our own players or coaches. Show some class. This is just a game by the way. We want to win and be the best but remember this is just the foundation that we are laying. We are far from a finished product. We will be back, we just need some stability. Recruits do pay attention to fans. Let's be a fan base that recruits want to play for. Brick by Brick. Go VOLS!!!

Big recruiting weekend. Booing can ruin our recruiting and will give Worley less confidence. Those are two things we do not need. If your having trouble watching the team now, the booing will make it worst. Oh I hope people will realize this game day.

After all the posts about that (and the fact that 2 dozen or more recruits will be there) I hope that something sticks and we don't have to worry about boos no matter how bad it gets.

We also need to be loud and stay till the wonderful (or bitter) end.

GO VOLS.

Jaw jaw bink's Defense sux! Mark Richt looks like Helen Hunt. Vols win 12 to 9. All Palardy FGs since he is the best kicker in the SEC.

C'mon, man! I've had these dang mattresses soaking in lighter fluid all week. I have Kiffin's face painted on there and everything.

How am I not goin' to burn them, win or lose?

I agree with the booing players part and several other things of the OP. That booing the other team part bothers me as well. Those young men have families and friends and do not deserve to be treated with disrespect. It's a game and a sport, not a literal war. You don't have to cheer for them, but acknowledge they are worthy of respect. Welcome their fans and thank them for coming even if they act childish. Show them a different way. And one more thing - alcohol or druggin' are non-starters for many Vol fans at the game. Keep that in mind.

I agree with not booing players, but I don't have a problem with booing "bonehead" coaching decisions.

Maybe we should break the T running behind a banner that says "We're not ready this year, but maybe next year" to lower fan and opponent expectations.

Yeah, Georgia is a legitimate national championship contender.

Comparing them to us would be like, say, comparing us to S. Alabama.

u want to stop the booing take out a full page ad in ktown or nashville because u r only reaching a few thousand n most of those dont go to the game... n it will never stop ever especially bad Play calling.

if true vfl what happened to any given sat??

I totally agree with the OP, but if we only had a dislike button for the Threads of Moran's would solve the karma of VOLNATION, we, I wouldn't get thrown into the group of haters when stupid is written. :rock:

Did you watch the GA/LSU game? There is no way our D holds GA's O to 9 points. This one will possibly get ugly, ala Oregon, so don't go getting your hopes up.

On the other hand, I hope I'm wrong!
