The Waste of Time but I'm doing it Anyway Thread!

Did you watch the GA/LSU game? There is no way our D holds GA's O to 9 points. This one will possibly get ugly, ala Oregon, so don't go getting your hopes up.

On the other hand, I hope I'm wrong!

Turn on your sarcasm meter brah!

The only thing missing was "how long you've been a Vol fan"

Before the highly predictable Sat night meltdown (please be a win!), just reminding everyone that on Saturday we will face one the top teams in country, again!

I realize this is a waste of time but comparing them to us is like apples to "Oranges" (pun intended).

They have an experienced O with a great QB and SEC speed all over, we have a pretty good kicker!

They have good special teams with alot of good athletes, we have a pretty good kicker.

They have a solid D with a fair amount experience and playmakers everywhere, we have one of the worst D's in the country pretty much intact from last year, (although showing improvement from last year) and a pretty good kicker.

Regardless of the outcome Sat. try not to behave like inbred Bammers and realize that better days are ahead, and that we just need to beat a couple of the "More Beatable" teams on our schedule! This isn't even year one for Butch and Co., its year HALF OF ONE! Go hide the dam mattress and the lighter fluid!

Keep reading the below and your life will be happier:

I will Cheer until I am hoarse at games.

I will be insufferable when we win.

I will be completely depressed for days when we loose, and NOT post on VN for at least 2 days!

I will not live and die on every play (of course I will).

I will drink all the booze I can get my hands on while tailgating (its my Duty and I will not shirk it).

And I will support my beloved Vols no matter what happens and will never, EVER, BOOO MY TEAM OR COACHES!

Ahhhhhhh Football Time in Tennessee! :dance2:

.

Liked everything but this. We aren't great, or probably even good. But we are tied for the lead in interceptions. We at least have a clue again. We are swarming to the ball, getting a little bit of qb pressure, and the other teams receivers aren't catching the ball with 15 yards of seperation. IMO

we got that down to 5 yards seperation. :)

Good thread tho...

Booing has happened to every team. If Worley plays poorly and hurts the team, he will get booed... just like he would at Bama, LSU, Florida, Auburn, UGA, SC, UCLA, Michigan or any school that cares about winning. It's not a UT thing and acting like Vol fans are ruder, less loyal and less supportive than other teams' fans can hurt recruiting more than skewering fans for what every loud and proud fanbase does. It's called passion, and the best schools have it, in good times and bad. Is it nice? No. But would you rather see widespread apathy and 50,000 empty seats? Because when fans stop caring enough to come out and be vocal, that will be worse.

No passion in booing a bunch of football players. Now if you say stupidity I will agree with you.

Fans have booed for more than a millennium. Hardly a new thing... and right up there with telling others what to do on a message board. And just about as effective.

Just please stay until the end of the game. Seeing Neyland half empty in the 3rd quarter is embarrassing.

1. I have often booed at the refs.
2. I do not ever recall booing at the players of my beloved Vols.
and...
3. Until last year , I had never booed a Vol Coach or Staff. Dooley brought me to a new low at the Mizz game when he decided to take his timeouts home with him so we could play OT.

Am I ashamed of that? Hell, no! I had tried so very hard to make excuses for him until that instant. BOOOOOOOOOOO! DOOLEY!! Get the H out of Knoxville!!

Seeing Tennessee play a hard fought close game with Georgia would go a long way with visiting recruits as well as committed ones....not to mention the fanbase

Jaw jaw bink's Defense sux! Mark Richt looks like Helen Hunt. Vols win 12 to 9. All Palardy FGs since he is the best kicker in the SEC.

Their defense "sux" but you don't predict us to even score a single TD?
