That "word" went on about a month ago and was investigating Brain Butler not Kiffin or BB. They already did it and nothing else has been said. Kiffin squeaky clean in this one. He was smart and communicated with BB parents and not with Butler.

We don't know what happened in Gadsden. But what we do know is Alabama gave thousands of dollars worth of free "textbooks" to players.

Alabama said no one resold any of those to make money. I along with most people with any sense at all don't really buy that. I don't think the NCAA does either. But the truth is it doesn't matter. Alabama "failed to monitor" the whole mess. Which is a "Major" violation. With that being said. It happened over two years and it also falls in the five year window from where your guy Logan Young flat out paid money for a recruit.

So first there is no denying Alabama boosters have broken the rules in the past. So is it so hard to believe all of the rumors flying around about Gadsden. Did everything thing that is being said happen. I personally don't believe all of it. But there is a history at your school of stuff like this happening. So it is something I believe the NCAA will look at and honestly there may be some things that were against NCAA rules. There sure seems to be alot of talk for nothing to have went down.

I think one thing that is very true that most Bama fans don't agree with is that Saban breaks the rules. I think he contacts recruits during dead periods and the Malone kid from Memphis is a good example of that happening. I do think other coaches have reported it and it may be the NCAA is looking into those as well.

Either way I think you should be looking at some pretty severe sanctions coming and I think the longer it drags out the worse they are going to be.

Too many rumors floating around about Bama and violations. If half of them are true you guys are in a LOT of trouble. Just saying.

The only way I buy this story as false is if it turns out that someone just got confused and started a rumor that there are actually tangible textbooks in Tuscaloosa.

Seems to me that BAMA was the one on probation recently and is now being investigated AGAIN. But yeah, I'm sure there is something wrong with Bryce Brown's commitment with all of the money we probably gave him. Cry me a river. :cray:

You may have missed it, but the BB investigation was discussed here weeks before he signed. They are looking into the Brian Butler relationship. Old News. Now the Gadsen news that was written up by an an Auburn Fan is new and additional to the text book scandal. New News at least to me, maybe you already knew about this for some time,,,, :)

The only talk that I have heard has been on the internet. The Bama fans I know are NOT talking about this. They treat it very hush,hush. If I hear anything I will post it, In fact my wife had a job interview in the Gadsden Court house today! If she can get that job, we might know a lot more!:dance2:
