Nike makes bats, but I've never been that impressed with them. Demarini and Easton are always going to be putting out great stuff. RIP-IT is coming out with some really great bats as well. Their AIR and AIR elite bats are both very impressive IMO. I've noticed some real nice improvements in bat speed in a couple of the HS guys I've been working with who have them.

If Senzel is capable at second, he should play there. Being in the flow of the game could help his hitting. This would also free up the DH spot for another good hitter in the lineup.

I suspect that will be the last photo and "Glove Day" with Wilson. I suspect Nike will require loyalty.

A great fielder at second base who can hit decently is better than having a decent fielder who can hit there. I honestly don't know if we have another hitter who's worth DHing, but I think we can prevent more runs from having a good fielder at second than make more runs with someone else DHing.

We're going to win ball games because of run prevention and pitching, not from scoring a ton of runs.

Couldn't agree more. I'll take good defense over offense at second base any day of the week. I want a good rangy guy at second who can solidify the middle infield. Anything above average at the plate with a solid second baseman is just gravy IMO.

Our game next year is going to be run prevention. That's the only way Serrano can reach Omaha, and he knows that. Dave will probably see who is the best glove there.

Senzel is one of the most athletic and competitive players on the team. He will be fine at 2B.
