I can't put down Dax's first solo album. So much soul.

But nothing beats opening an album with "Dyin' felt so god**mn good today."

Good call to pull this one out. If Andrew Wood never OD'd, we wouldn't have Pearl Jam. Except that would have been a good thing because Mother Love Bone would have been better. Listen to Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns and then try to argue otherwise. Argue that Vedder is a better lead man than Andrew Wood. Go on, take a stab at it.

And if you don't know why we wouldn't have had Pearl Jam if Andrew Wood hadn't OD'd, then please refrain from offering commentary.

Don't know if you've ever checked out his stint as Deadboy and the Elephantmen but it's pretty awesome as well.

that's a bold statement. that album is good, but most of pj's are better. hard to base one song on what could have been. imo there a ton of pj songs better than chloe dancer/crown of thorns.

as far as wood being a better front man than arguably one of the top 15-20 front men ever is laughable.

Well, Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard, former members of MLB, created PJ. Along with Chris Cornell, they also comprised the band Temple of the Dog. The song " Say Hello to Heaven" was a tribute to Andrew Wood, which was written by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden. Him and Andrew were roommates. They got Temple of the Dog from the MLB song "Man of Golden Words".
