Well, I had a colonoscopy today, so I have eaten a steak and pizza to make up for the prep
On a positive note, however- as I was coming to in the recovery room, my wife was in tears with laughter and there were several nurses gathered around in the hallway. The reason? Apparently, I sang a whole stanza of “Rocky Top”, including the whoooo!!!, as I was being wheeled up the hallway to my room.
I have no recollection of any of it, but I take it as a good omen.
Go Big Orange!!!
Years ago they used Versed primarily for conscious sedation and it took days to clear the effects, now they are using Propofol and it clears almost instantly and less bizarre behavior. What is it with those colonoscopies? My first one about 10 years ago had me doing crazy stuff as I was coming out of anesthesia. They gave me a Sprite to drink and they said I was sipping it, smiling and humming some song.
Yeah, I remember being on the table in the back, waiting on the doctor, and I was determined to fight through it and at least see part of the procedure on the monitor. What is it with those colonoscopies? Glad I did this. Their team got walloped. I heard the guy tell someone else he was the principal. They were stunned when I said "we picked up your bill", and kept saying Why? And I kept saying just remember Chattanooga in a good way. Now I feel bad they got beat.We just grabbed dinner at the bar at Outback, and there was a couple from Westmoreland High School. Their football team is here to play Tyner. We picked up their check. Told them to think of Chattanooga in a fond way.
