better than any cop show you'll find on cable tv.

I'm still going through it - on season 4 currently.

(you guys went digging for this thread!)

With the show having ended in 2008, I was just curious if a thread had ever been made. So I googled it.

Breaking Bad is definitely a bigger crowd pleaser.

I rate The Wire so highly because I think it's the most real show that's ever been on TV.

I'm only three episodes in, but I'm definitely getting the feel that it's the type of show that isn't gonna hold anything back.

started watching Sunday in his honor. I'm five episodes into season 1. I think this time I will get into it.

just finished rewatching Season 2. It is by far my favorite. The entire series is amazing but the organized crime aspect and the dock worker perspective made for an awesome season. Wish they would have kept up with the Greek in the later seasons.

Season 2 almost stands on its own. I hated it when I first watched it just because of how out of place it all seemed, but after watching the whole series 3+ times now, it's probably my favorite season. I don't think any season of television has ever done that to me before. I thought Frank, Nicky, and Spiros were incredible characters.

But there is no discussion about great characters without Omar. RIP Michael K. Williams.

I'm amazed this realistic crime drama tv show was airing during the Retro HBO days when HBO was channel 15.
